"Welcome to my mansion. Enjoy your stay......"

That voice, light and carefree, echoed in the back of my head. It sounded so familiar and yet so......different. I tried to open my eyes, but saw nothing except black all around me. Am I dead? As if answering my question, a sharp pain shot through my spine. No. My body hurts too much to be dead. Then am I in a coma? Before my body could react again, I heard a sound rattle my eardrums. At first, it sounded like ringing, which quickly turned to buzzing and then humming. Finally, I could hear actual words.

"Hey! Are you okay?"

I tried to open my eyes and was blinded by a bright white light. When the light dimmed down, I blinked the colorful dots behind my eyelids away. They skittered away, allowing me to see my surroundings. Standing above me were two bent figures.

My eyes landed on the taller figure first. He had spiky brown hair and fire-like eyes half-hidden with a pair of sunglasses. He wore a black jacket and a orange/yellow striped tie around his neck. He was standing over me, his hands resting on his knees. I then turned my gaze to the second person watching me.

Unlike the boy, she was sitting on her knees beside me, her right hand-draped in a brown fingerless glove-over her heart. She had her long brown hair with pink, magenta, and purple highlights tied off in a ponytail. Her sapphire blue eyes were fixed on me, worry and confusion practically flooding out of them. She had on a black hoodie and blue short shorts.

They both smiled at me.

"Are you okay?" The girl asked, offering her hand to me. I accepted it and was promptly yanked into a sitting position. I nodded and looked around.

Instead of lying on the wooden porch, I was now in a cool marble room. Draped from the ceilings were colorful banners and ribbons, each one of 16 different colors. They all lead to the center of the room were they were tied around a circular pillar. Underneath the canopy of color were 16 tables which were also 16 different colors. On the far back wall was a painting, but I couldn't see what it was from my perspective. "Where am I?"

The girl beside me shrugged and stood up on her feet. "I have no idea." She said, twirling a strand of pink with her fingers. "We all woke up in this cafeteria with no memory of walking here." I snapped my head up at her and whispered, "We all?" She merely grabbed my hand and helped me to my feet. As I stood up, I saw them.

Scattered at different tables were 13 other teenagers, all of which were staring off in various directions. One of them just so happened to see me. His eyebrows knitted together in frustration.

"What?" He said, standing up at the red table he was sitting at. "There's another one?" He was wearing a red/black checkered hoodie with a white/beige shirt underneath. His spiked hair was a lighter shade of brown than the guy before and he had a darker shade of brown for his eyes. Hanging from his neck was a single golden dog tag.

"Are you kidding me?" Said another voice. I turned my head and saw another boy sitting on what appeared to be a stage. He had emo styled brown hair draped over half his face. He had on a white V-neck, black pants, and purple bangles on his wrists. His dark red eyes were dull, at least compared to the glowing green headset he had on his head. "How many more are there?"

"Try to keep up will you?" A female voice said behind the guy in the checkered hoodie. She was wearing a red halter top and blue shorts. Her poofy brown hair was tied and held together by two matching red bows. Her brown eyes were also dull, a lingering sense of boredom present in them. "She is obviously the last guest. If you had half a brain, you wouldn't have to ask such a stupid question." She flipped her hair back and turned to face the boy beside her. "If you haven't already noticed, there is a certain pattern in this room. 16 banners. 16 tables. 16 different colors. So it is safe to assume there is only 16 guests. So she is the last one."
