I never really celebrated my birthday.Once my dad died,it wasn't the same anymore.
Then I moved to Berkshire and met 5 pretty cool guys; Max, Harvey, Dobby, Dylan and Tom.They were the brothers I never had but a bit more supportive.They always supported me no matter what I did.
I had told them before about my past birthdays and how I never celebrated and thankfully they understand.Well I thought they did but once my 18th birthday came round,I guess I was wrong
It was the day of my 18th birthday and I was re-watching Full House and honestly that was all I planned to do for the rest of the day.All the boys and my friends had wished me happy birthday and even though it sounds really lame,that's the only thing I need
After about 5 more episodes,I hear a knock at my door.I pause the episode and go over to open the door.As I open it,I'm met with 5 smiling faces holding beers and bags
"The boys with beers? How am I not surprised" I joke
"We know you don't like celebrating your birthday but we wanted to do something special so we have loads of Nando's and beer" Harvey says waving a bag of Nando's a little bit.
I smile at him.Truth is,I have had a crush on him for a while now.
'You know what,sure.I guess it'll be nice' I say opening the door wider so they can come in
We sit on my floor as we spread out the Nando's.
'So Liv what's it like being 18?' Tom asks me as he tucks into his food.
'Well Tom since you're gonna be 18 soon,I don't think I should spoil it for you' I say and I sarcastically wink at him.
He just smiles and continues to eat.I look at Harvey and he looks like he's giving Tom a dirty look.I just ignore it and keep eating.
1 hour and a lot of Nando's later, Dylan decides we should play never have I ever. Dobby got the tequilla and he started with the first question
'Never have I ever been arrested' Immediately me and Max go for the bottle
'Liv hardly' Dobby says.
'Fuck off' I say not wanting to tell them.
Tom's next and he smirks
'Never have I ever had a crush on someone in this room' He smirks
Instantly Harvey goes for the bottle.All the boys coo.Once he's taken his shot I take mine
Many questions later,I'm so fucking drunk I don't even know what I'm saying.
'Last question!' Max practically yells
'Liv what's something you've always wanted to say to someone in this room but never had the guts to say' I can instantly feel everyone's eyes turn to Harvey.
Drunk me being stupid as fuck decides to pick Harvey.
'Harvey.I've had a crush on you for like a fucking year.How in the name of God have you not noticed mate.You're so fucking amazing and I hate the fact that you don't fucking realize that.You deserve someone who's there for you and loves you for you and someone who you can be yourself around and I want to you to know that I can be all of those things.I can be there when you when you're sad,when you need help with pranks and when you just need someone to come home to' I rant and at the end I take another swig of my beer.
Everyone's staring at Harvey to see what his next move would be.
Once I put down my beer down,Harvey stands up.He walks over to me and cups my face in his hands
He looks at me in the face with a questioning look.I nod as I can tell he's asking for permission
We lean in as our lips meet.The kiss deepens and I can feel all the boy's eyes on us.We pull apart and I freak out inside.
Harvey Fucking Mills just kissed me.
It's obvious he's surprised to because he mutters an 'I'm sorry' to everyone and rushes out of my apartment
