Spot Conlon: A New Adventure [2]

Introduction

*Lizzy's POV*

Ise woke up to hear me brodda whisperin' in me ear.

"Lizzy, wese gotta go." He says. He's me twin, de odda half of me and Ise love him. 

"Jus' five more minutes." Ise mumbled, swatting him away. 

"No, Ise can't. Dey here, Lizzy?" He whispers frantically. Ise up like a shot. "Dey" would be da men dat are afta me fadda and modda. Dey owe de men a debt, but were neva able to pay it back, so dey had come to kill them. 

"Anthony, what are wese gonna do?" Wese only six. 

"Wese gonna pray, Lizzy, and get outta here. Wese gonna read da Bible, too. And how many times do Ise gotta tell ya to call me Tony?" He teases. He's tryin' to lighten da mood, but Ise ain' wantin' dat. 

"Tony, Ise too  scared to be jokin' right now." Ise said. A tear streams do me face and Tony wipes it way.

"All right, wese goin' now." He grabbs our emergency bag dat holds our clothes and our Bible. Wese can both read a little.

Tony lowers me down de window of our one-story house and climbs our afta me. Den wese run to de train station. Wese bought tickets a few weeks ago. Wese make it to our train jus' before da conductor closes da door. He takes us to our seats where wese sit down and Tony wrapps his arms around me. Ise fall asleep one his shoulder. When Ise wake up, wese in a different state. We taking to a part of da station where orphaned kids go and wese wait. A man and a woman come up to us. De man grabs me broddas' shoulder, the woman mine, and wese are taken in different directions. 

"NO!" Ise cried, tears streaming uncontrollably down me face.

"NO! LIZZY!" Tony calls out to me. He tries to get away, but da man is strong. So is da woman.

"Elizabeth Higgins, control yourself." Da woman commands, slapping me face. Ise look ova me shoulder to see Tony dragged onto a train. Dat was de last Ise eva seen of me brodda.

Hi! So, I just finished my first book today, and I'm already starting my second one. I know that this one is in first person and the first wasn't but I thought it would be a nice way to start the second story. If you read and liked my first book, please don't forget to comment and vote.
