Third Person's POV
When the car parked on the runway, Elena was asleep. When the driver went to open the door, Daniel stepped out with his wife in his arms. He carried her up the stairs and into the plain, placing her in the spot next to where he planned to sit. Yes he could've easily put her in the bed room, but he wanted to be next to her and he had some work to do.
He sat down, and pulled out his lap top, and started doing some work, while his wife slept next to him. She moved a little, but other than that she stayed knocked out.
He smiled at her while he worked. He felt something he doesn't think he ever felt before, but he didn't know what to actually call it. It wasn't love but it was more than like... he guesses. He felt at peace with her and his presence, but at the same time he was on edge with a need to protect her. He's never felt that about any girl before.
Elena turned over in her sleep, so that she was facing the back of the seat, before turning the opposite way once more. She couldn't quite get comfortable so finally she just decided on getting up and going to the bed where she knew she would be more comfortable.
"Where you going?" Daniel asks his wife as she sits up and swings her legs over the seat.
"I'm going to lay down in the bedroom." She answers, standing and stretching out.
"You can sleep here." Daniel argues, not wanting to outright say that he wanted her to be next him.
"No I can't." She replies, in an annoyed tone. "The bed will be more comfortable." She walks off, turning over her shoulder to speak to her sulking husband, "come with me."
"I gotta do some work." He answers shortly.
"Do it in there." Elena shrugs, before continuing her journey to the large bed.
Daniel contemplated her solution and decided that he would go along with her idea. He could get what he wanted and she could what she wanted. He grabbed his laptop and followed her into the bedroom. He kicked off his shoes and sat on the bed with his back up against some pillows, while Elena climbed under the covers before scooting closely to him. She wrapped her arm around his waist and then laid her head on his side.
"Say it." She teases him.
"Say what?" Daniel asks not looking away from the laptop that he set up in his lap.
"That you wanted me to be next to you." She smirks slyly.
"I don't know what you're talking about." He says, trying to hide the truth. "You're the one that told me to come in here with you."
"Yeah because you were pouting like a big baby." She makes fun.
"No I wasn't." Daniel huffs. "I just wanted to know what you were doing."
"Because you wanted me next to you." She continues to jab playfully.
"Weren't you going back to sleep?" Daniel asks, clearly annoyed at Elena's teasing.
"Okay then Grumpy." Elena scoffs at him, moving her arm from around him and turning over, pulling the covers over her shoulder.
Daniel pays her no mind and rolls his eyes at her. He went back to doing the work on the laptop. When he was sure she was asleep he smiled at her before going back to what he was doing.

12 hours later.
The plane stopped in Milan and Elena's jaw dropped. The view was one of the most amazing, beautiful things she'd ever seen.
