Long Lost And Found

Chapter 21

I open the car door and tuck and roll out. If he's gonna catch somebody it might as well be me and not Tati, she just made it out, I can't let her go back. Besides, I want revenge for the other girls he killed. Once I get my footing back and stand up, I dust myself off I greet him. 

"Lenkov"

"Traitor" He replies.

"Oh so not wanting to be part of a corrupt  secret agency run by assholes makes me a traitor?" I ask rhetorically. He just looks at me menacingly.

"How'd you find her so fast?" I ask him, desperately wanting to know. 

"Doesn't matter, I'm not here for her anyways" He tells me. Shit. He's here to kill me, I've become too close of a threat. I was doing some side research whenever I could and I got close to exposing them. 

"You know." I say.

"Of course we know, we know everything." He says.

"Not everything." I say and I charge at him. He pulls a gun on me and I'm close enough to him that I grab the barrel of the gun and I point it at the ground, a shot goes off. We both struggle trying to gain control of the gun but it's no use. We both end up throwing it into the woods so neither of us can find it. We go hand to hand and he's starting to beat me. He is much taller and stronger than me. I can't seem to gain any advantage here so I decide to use my powers. He sweeps my feet out from under me and I fall to the ground. He pulls another gun and goes to shoot me. I use my powers to stop the bullet. Lenkov looks at me shocked and a little scared. I throw the bullet into the ground next to me and I kick Lenkov away from me. The only way to beat him is with my powers. He pulls out a knife in an attempt to become even with me. He keeps coming at me and I keep deflecting his attacks. (Similar to how Wanda did with Proxima Midnight in Infinity War). Then he manages to sweep my feet from underneath me again and I land on the hard ground. I disarm him and kick him off of me. I run for it. Hoping I'll reach the compound soon. He shoots his gun at me and I deflect the bullets using my powers. He them pulls out what looks like a huge shotgun and aims it at me. I keep running and duck behind a rock expecting to hear bullets but instead The blast seems to be made of electromagnetic energy. It blows off the side of the tree next to me. I look behind me at Lenkov in fear. I take off running again. Lenkov shoots the weapon at me again and it hits me square in the back. My body goes flying forward and the blast slams me into a tree. I roll onto the ground and groan in pain. I hear footsteps coming towards me. I touch my head and see blood on my hand. I still hear to footsteps getting closer and closer. I stand up and start running again. I can't get caught by them. They'll torture me and kill me. I thought I was free of them and that I could finally leave my past behind me, never to think of it again. I was very, very wrong. I hear the weapon shot off again this time it hits me in the shoulder and I face plant into the dirt road I'm running on. I hit my head on a fairly large stone when my head hit the ground. I vision becomes blurry. I get up and keep running. Ahead I think I can see the compound. I run harder and faster. Lenkov shoots off his weapon one last time and it hits me in the back again. I fly forward at least 150 feet before I land on the ground rolling. I finally stop rolling and look over my shoulder. I'm at the compound. The new team that Steve and Natasha were training heard Lenkov's weapon and they came running out to the front lawn where I was laying in pain. 

"Ali!" I hear Natasha yell and she comes running to me. 

I roll onto my back coughing and groaning in pain. Lenkov comes out of the woods and goes to blast his weapon at Natasha. 

"No!" I yelled and I used my powers to lift him into the air. He drops his weapon and Natasha points her gun at his and shoots him. I release him from my powers and look over to the team. 

"Oh my god are you okay?" Wanda asks me. 

"No, not really. My head is pounding." I tell her. 

"Let's get you inside and to the med wing." Steve says. He and Sam help me up. I groan as they lift me off the ground and get me to my feet. I go to take my first step and almost fall to the ground. Sam catches me and the next thing I know my vision goes black.
