"Her smile was visible to all,
Showing a dark secret
From an inescapable memory
Because of the lie, she kept telling herself.

Showing a dark secret,
The light was dimming
Because of the lie, she kept telling herself.
She tried to push the pain aside.

The light was dimming
From an inescapable memory
She tried to push the pain aside.
Her smile was visible to all."

Its easier setting and getting ready to sail, than having to deal with the antagonizing long journey to your destination, the anticipation and excitement that was clearly shown at the begging of the journey had dissipated into an idling bored that had consumed the crew even my mind.

I had promised fun and adventure to Jungkook, I hope he's not disappointed with the journey, I can't bear to see his jolly bunny face turn into a frown, sighing I lean my head against the wheel contemplating what to do, maybe there is a shortcut to this journey grandfather gave me these co-ordinates but he didn't say I needed to take the longest route, your so smart Y/N smiling to myself like a crazy person, jumping up and down internally of the thoughts of finding a way to get there quickly so we don't have to suffer on this antagonizing long journey.

Grandfather... I miss him I never saw him again after seeing him on his death bed, I couldn't bear to see a man who was once so lively and fearless who ruled the seven seas be stuck on a bed in dresser wooden house struggling to breathe, I have to complete this last quest for him, his legacy.

~~Flashback~~

Looking down to my frail small hands that were scattered with scratches and dirt which were also visible on my small body, being an 8-year-old stuck on a slave ship and being ready to get sold off, you become desensitised by the screams and pleading of the mothers to not take their children away, but it's not like they truly cared they put their child in this situation anyway.

The shackles moving heavily on my petite frame having barely enough strength to move with them on, having no friends because I couldn't bear to see any more people I know die, it's better to be alone than afraid.

...

looking from the stage of the slave auction, most of the buyers being rich men looking for servants for their manors or god forbid prostitutes for a brothel, A pirate was present which is weird considering they are the ones to usually sell us instead of buy, he was looking steadily at each girl one by one in the line, probably going to buy a child to do work on the ship or maybe a plaything, disgusting

I made sure not to never cry in my life no matter how shit it gets, and now won't be that time, looking with a blazing fire in my eyes to all the potential buyers trying to scare them into not buying me but as my eyes land on that pirate, his sea-worn face smirks.

My head being immediately shoved down by the auctioneer, roughly I snarled and this sudden action but obeyed not wanting to be killed on the spot for entertainment as there where a lot of slaves to auction and one less slave would mean nothing.

The dimness of the auction room was comforting focusing on the curves and grains of the wooden floor, hearing every slave being auctioned off to as cheap as 30pennies to 1 silver and even 2 gold, it would be nice to go to someone who will treat me nice but we know what happens, let's not kid ourselves will probably be used as entertainment or continue to be a slave or maid for the rich.

"no.145, this slave even though quite young and small looking has a nice face and can work hard", " 40pennies" I heard someone shout, I guess im worth at least something. My face being forced up by my chin so the buyers could see my face and determine my price, I continued not to smile and glared at every one of the buyers wishing them to the bottom of the sea, numbers kept going ignoring them I looked to the pirate whos captains hat was tipped as to look as he was sleepy, he suddenly got up and flung his hat off with his hand, surprising everybody even me having some other emotion except for hatred in my eyes.

"5 gold" the irate exclaimed with a smirk his arms gesturing out to see if anyone would rival his bet sitting back down into his seat in a carefree manner his smirk remaining. "Sold to the pirate," the auctioneer said without a second thought, the rest of the room still in shock of the high price wondering if this girl is worth that much, 5 gold was enough to buy a house in the inner part of town.

Coming up to me his steps looking relaxed but confident I could tell he must've been a captain of sorts, taking his captain hat off ruffling his thick brown hair that looked to mangled from ocean salt and breeze with his right hand that was covered in rings but looked to hold an unbountiful amount of strength smiled a kind smile towards me, placing his hat on my head that was too big, almost engulfing my entire head, looking up towards him with confused eyes, he had leaned down placing his hand on his knees fixing his captain hat on my head "call me Grandpa, now kid do you get seasick?" finishing with a smirk.

In the first time in a very long time my scowl turned into a smile even if it was little it was noticeable my broken voice almost as quiet as a whisper but still heard by the pirate but now grandfather.

"...Thankyou..".
