Chapter eight

"Jackson, dude come on ur not helping the situation here." Ray says exasperated.

"Buddy, ur my best friend and I'm saying this for ur good. Stay the fuck away from Jay's ex. I can't even understand why of all the girls in California u had to fall for that girl. The same who caused ur brother's death"

"Man don't u think I know that? But I can't help it. The girl is so..... I don't know how to put it. Let's say different." I trail off thinking about Beauty.

"Whatever dude. Just make sure u remember u have a life waiting for u here in Ireland ok and try not to get urself hurt"

"Thanks dude this means a lot." I say honestly.

"Anytime" he says and I hang up.

Looking at Raph over my work load, I can't help but stare. He catches me ogling and I turn pink.

"Hey Beauty are u ok? Pls concentrate ok. The final exams begin tomorrow and we have to make it" looking deep into my eyes he says "we would make it"

It's been a month since I regained my memories and everything seems to be a blur after that. I remember the day our results were published and our names were on the board both on honor roll. I was so happy that I jumped on his body and kissed him. Though the after silence was awkward, it was worth it.

Sitting today on the podium dressed in a graduation robe and it's cap is like a dream come true. I watch as Raph walks up to get his diploma and offer his speech since he had the highest score in the whole school.

"Ladies and gentlemen it's an honor for me to stand here today in front of you all. I want to offer a special thanks to each and everyone one of u present here today cause its all thanks to ur love and support that we arrived this point in life.

Some of u might think of me as bold or insolent with what comes next but I think I'll pass on the critics. I'll like to take this opportunity to pass a very important announcement to the entire world."

"Beauty loverda" he calls out turning in my direction and motions for me to come join him at the front. There are whispers all over the hall as I make my way up to him. My heart is in stomach I swear I'm so nervous that it can cause an alien invasion. Making my way up to him, I want to ask what this is all about but my words get stuck in my throat when I see the look in his eyes.

"Beauty Luciana Loverda. I really don't know what u did to me but whatever it is I swear it is more than effective. I've fallen for u and I have fallen hard. I can't imagine a life without ur smile to warm me up, ur voice to get my day started and ur touch to make my day complete. You have turned out to be the center of my universe and I swear i tried hard but couldn't change it.

If It was left to me, I'll love to be ur tears so that I could be born in ur heart, live on ur cheeks and die on ur lips. But since that can't be possible, I'd love to be ur superman. Always be there to protect u and keep u warm. Make u feel safe and make ur happiness my life's ambition.

I know this may all sound cliche and kinky but I mean every single word of what I just said. The flames of hell may burn for a million years but it still will be no match to what I feel for u in the second of a day. I really love u Beauty and since I can't ask u to be my wife yet with fear of loosing my head, I'll ask u to give me the honor of being my girlfriend."

Getting down in front of me, he opens a red ring box revealing a four carat diamond ring. "Raph I'm... I'm sorry.." I say breathless.

The hall goes dead silent and Raph's face is expressionless. I laugh a little before saying "I'm sorry for all the girls who are crushing on u cause ur finally mine. Yes Raph yes I would be ur girlfriend." I say and the whole crowd goes crazy. Even my parents are jumping.

I watch as Raph slides the ring on my finger and spins me around laughing. His smile is priceless and I'm happy that I am the person who made him smile like that. He sets me on my feet then kisses me with all he has. I melt into him and pout when he pulls away making him laugh.

He lead me off the stage and I see my mom grinning from side to side. She hugs and my dad follows suite congratulating me and hoping I made the right choice. "Mom, dad,I'm sure about this I promise." I say reassuring them.

Turning to Raphael my dad says "u better keep my daughter safe and happy else it rip u apart limb by limb understood?" He asks I'm a menacing tone.

"Yes sir" Raph quickly answers "I love Beauty with everything I've got and I promise to protect her at the peril of my life if necessary." He says looking at me and my dad smiles.

His mom and dad rush towards us giving me a big hug each and welcome me to the family.

"Raph dear ur grandma just called. She said thanks to ur declaration of love on TV, the house is surrounded by reporters same thing for right outside so I want us to leave immediately through the back door before they find us." Raph's mom says quickly. Looking down at me, he doesn't want to let go off my hand.

"Ok fine but on one condition" Raph says

"That Beauty spends the evening with us" he say quietly.

"Raph that's not up to me but to Beauty and her parents" she says softly.

Looking expectantly at my parents with my puppy dog eyes on, I silently plead. Letting out breaths of defeat, they nod in union and I squeal happily looking up at Raph who is grinning down at me. Telling him I'll have to change first before joining him at home, he nods, kisses me and we make our way out through the back door.

Starring at the TV long after it has gone off, I can't help but sit there motionless. Letting out a loud cry, I shoot the remote right at the TV screen causing a crack on the screen. My mom runs out to see what's happening

"Ray dear pls calm down what is it?" She asks looking at me worriedly

"Nothing" I say going up to my room. Lying face up on the bed, I feel my eyes stink. What was I thinking falling for her in the first place? Memories of how Beauty said yes to Raphael played in my head. Her smile engraved in my heart and that kiss they shared engraved in my mind.

Seconds later my phone rings. Pressing the answer button i snap "what!?"

"Sorry dude" I hear Jackson say at the other end "I kind of told Britney where u are and i also slipped and told her about Beauty. She's on her way to California this instant"

Staring at the phone in disbelief I mutter "FUCK"
