Min-Jun

I stare at Jay's busted up knuckles, gripping onto the pen in my hand.

Who the hell is she fighting?  And why does it seem to be getting more aggressive?

"MJ?" Jun asks, I look up to him.

"What?" I ask, Jun gives me a small smile.

"Are you fine with the idea we launch a new device?" Jun asks,

"Yeah yeah, sounds like a good idea." I say, returning the smile. He nods and continues to explain the idea to the rest of the executives, my attention returning to Jay.

With the blessing of our mother's face she was considered a beauty but with our father grey stoic eyes and features it made her seem imitating and cold.  And it is true, she is cold and imitating when first meeting but to the keen eye you could tell that her twitching would tell you that she was listening attentively, and that when her eyes crinkled she was in a foul mood or she was suspicious of something, someone.  Or when she would send you a look that would ask 'are you ok?' or 'Do you feel comfortable?'.

"Meeting dismissed." Jun pulling my out of my thoughts, everyone stood and left. Leaving the three of us in the quiet and tense meeting room.

Jun stands straight after organizing his papers.

"You going to tell us who you're fighting?" Jun ask but it was more demanding. Jay sets down her pen and looks at the two of us, a shiver runs down my spine.

Cold. Lifeless. Empty....

"No one." She utters, her voice toneless.

"That's a straight lie and we all know it!" Jun exclaims, she just sits and stares.

Her next move..what is her next move?

It dangerously sat at the top of my mind,

"Jun.." I mumble, Jun looks at me and scoffs turning away from us.

"Angel you promised that you wouldn't go back." I say, she turns to me and her eyes softens just the slightest. She leans back and closes her eyes and exhales,

"Newman came to me a couple weeks ago," She starts, Jun snaps around. Our close friend group knew about the situation before it was announced publicly, thanks to Corey. To say I wasn't happy about it would be a understatement.

"He asked about why I'm distancin' myself and I told him straight that I didn't want to get in the way of his love life anymore and he stormed out like I had fucked everythin up. Killin' wasn't— isn't an option so I went with the latter," Her voice calm and sharp,

"And I'm not goin to the ring to fight, just some daily boxin' at home." She clarifies, I sigh and roll my chair closer to her.

"Angel, you know that's not true." I assure,

I might have to give this nitwit a piece of my mind

"Banana, I'll tell him to lay off." Jun says, walking closer.

"You guys and your weird nicknames..." She mentions, opening her eyes. We let out a hearty chuckle, happy to see her lighten up— even if it was for a couple seconds.

"Seriously, I'll tell him to back off." Jun declares,

"If he doesn't, I'll just punch him a couple times." I add, Jun rolls his eyes at my aggression.

"It is fine, he can do whatever he wants, his life." Jay says, declining the offers. She stands up,

"Come on, lets get lunch since I blowed you guys off last time." Jay offers,

"Oooo~ free food!" Jun says, hurrying out the conference room. I walk next to Jay and hang my arm around her shoulder loosely as we walk out of the room and towards Jun's office.

"And to think he's the same person that fired like 5 people in the past hour." I murmur, Jay lets a small smile onto her lips and my smile only widens.

"Hey, stop throwin crumbs at each other." Jay scolds, looking around the small cafe we had decided to have lunch at.

"He started it!" Jun says, Jay turns to him with a arch brow.  Practically screaming at him to 'stop acting like a child', I chuckle at the small scowl on his face.  The waiter comes back with our drinks and he places it down.

"Two turkey sandwiches and one avocado and maple glazed tempeh sandwich please," I order, the waiter nods and hurries off.  Grabbing my drink and snarling slightly at Jay's drink,

"I don't understand how you can't drink it like that." I say, she looks down and looks back up with a slight confused expression.

"Leave her alone MJ, at least she's not a child like you." I gasp dramatically,

"How dare you! Hires Root Beer is superior!" I exclaim but keeping my voice low enough to not disturb the other customers.

"No, it's Dr. Pepper the whole way." Jun argues, I narrow my eyes at him.  He sips his 'Dr. Pepper' happily,

"You're outrages, maybe that why you're single." I spit back, Jun chokes on his drink and smirks at me.

"And you're not?" He shots back, I scoff.

"Root beer can make milkshakes therefore 'My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard
And they're like, it's better than yours'!" I sing, Jun opens his mouth.

"You realize your fightin' over drinks that are made by the same company, right?" We turn to Jay, she sips her dark, soulless ice coffee.

"Dr. Pepper Snapple Group made Hires Root Beers." Jay explains, we look at each other and we burst out in laughter.

"Here you guys are." The waiter comes back with the food, he was about to walk away.

"Hey." Jay calls out and me and Jun look at each other like we're crazy.  The kid turns around, sweating profusely under Jay's stare.

Who wouldn't?

I look over to Jay's plate to see if there was something wrong with it but there wasn't.

"Don't let those guys push you around." She says, nodding towards the table full of jocks that were throwing things at each other.  The kid smiles and nods, hurrying off.

"Wowow, my banana has a heart?!" Jun says, dramatically.

"No but I have a knife that can stabs your's." Jay jokes, I laugh and Jun looks away pouting.

"That isn't very nice banana." He murmurs with a smile on his face.  I grab a spoonful and shove it into my mouth.

"Well sad to say my dear dear brother, that's life."
