Quinn's pov:
My anger was still at boiling point as my eyes followed Juliet's every move as she approached her house. If you could call it a house that is. It looked more like a shack, a shack that was barely holding itself together. Still, I started taking in its every detail. I took note of it exits or entries and the layout of the land. Taking care to note every detail for when the time came.
"You're sure it's her?" Jeremy asked as he watched the girl we've been looking for, for three years disappear through a door.
"Seriously?" An exasperated Carly asked. "You didn't smell it, feel it? It was practically radiating off of her."
"All I could really smell was wet dog."
"Yes, but you felt it didn't you?" She challenged.
Turning in his seat Jeremy glared at her. "Yes I did, but wouldn't she of sensed us?" He retorted.
"I mean she seemed wary, but alarms screaming werewolf werewolf, were so not going through her head.""She's different from us remember and living with humans for so long has most likely messed with her senses," I answered.
Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed the curtains twitch we couldn't stay here much longer, but I hadn't gotten the full layout of the area yet.
"Okay, say it is her."
"It is," she growled.
"Yes, whatever. The question I want answering is that now that we know where and who she is why not just grab her and go?" He raises an eyebrow at Carly in challenge.
"Cause we don't know what she's capable of," I answer once again. "We've heard the stories Jem, but we don't know what's true and what's fiction. Plus we do not need the police on our tail about a kidnapped girl."
Carly giggled. "Yeah, can you imagine us trying to kidnap her? If even half the stories we've heard of her kind are true she'd probably tear us to shreds."
A smirk crossed my lips at that. Carly has been obsessed with this mission and it's objective from day one. Learning every myth, legend and story ever written or spoken.
She truly believed that that clueless girl could tear me to shreds. True Lycan or not, I would take her down if she was any threat to my family. Anger courses through my veins at the thought and I felt my nails extend into deadly claws.
"Don't worry we'll get her." I dragged a claw down the side of the car in a zigzag pattern. "We just need to wait a little longer."
"It's all about the joy of the hunt remember." I turned to smile at Jeremy who in turn smirked, a mischievous glint in his eyes. Putting the car in reverse and pulling out of the so-called driveway.
Taking one last look at the barely-there house and girl peaking through its window, I put my foot on the pedal and drove away.
