Alone at the beach, Elizabeth allowed the frigid waves from the sea to blanket her feet. The sensation sent tingles up her spine. Her blue eyes began to glass over as they focused in on the horizon line. It wasn't the pink sunset she was trying so hard to see.
Elizabeth looked down at her right hand that was wrapped around her left leg. Her black mobile phone was vibrating. Elizabeth ignored the call, but subconsciously clutched the phone harder. The words spoken by the previous caller echoed in her head, "Aaron's dead. Aaron is no longer with us." She felt the next wave engulf her internally. Elizabeth placed her head onto her knees and started to sob.
