aurora germaine had abandoned all interest in her book as william denbrough folded over a paper, trying to create a paper boat for their younger siblings to sail in the rainstorm. he meticulously watched the paper making perfect creases.

bill proceeded to fold the paper, three younger kids watched in admiration, while the denbrough's mother, sharon, was downstairs playing für elise on the piano. aurora had watched intently as she placed her book on her lap, smiling as the denbrough brother and the germaine twins smiled as bill finished the paper boat.

bill took a felt tip marker and signed the boat smoothly, S.S Georgie and friends, the six year olds smiled adorningly.
"there you go," bill spoke slowly, without a stutter, as he smiled down at the trio. "she's all ready captains."
bill handed the boat to maeve germaine, whose eyes widened at the small gesture, a twinkle of light flashed through her eyes. maeve's twin brother, atlas took his place on one side of maeve as georgie denbrough stood on the other, all stared at the boat happily.
georgie denbrough hugged his brother, in a subtle attempted to show his admiration and love for bill, yet he still had more to show. the germaine twin follow-suited wrapping thier arms around bill. the six year olds smiled, "thanks bill."
the scene cuts to georgie and the germaine twins, running through the shallowly flooded streets of derry. aurora stood at the window, watching her siblings and georgie as they happily giggled and played in the driveway.
aurora was a reoccurring member of the denbrough household as were the twins on monday and tuesday evenings while their grandmother went to bingo with friends in bangor. aurora could take care of herself and her twins at her own house but she preferred the company of the oldest denbrough. aurora and bill were good friends it was like that from the dawn of time. aurora's parents got along quite well with the denbroughs, when they were alive.
today, aurora had been taking care of bill who was sick. after a while, aurora had come to terms that she would indeed, eventually get sick, but it was a small price to pay for your sick friend.
altas, now held the paper boat in his small hands, before releasing it into the street, allowing the water to carry it and then chasing after it. maeve and georgie follow the blonde boy, soon enough the kids short legs couldn't keep up with the boat.
the six year olds set on their main priority, catching the boat, that they didn't notice the bright orange 'DERRY PUBLIC WORKS' street barrier and they crashed into it, knocking them onto the ground with a wet thud.
they rushed to their feets, "NO!" georgie exclaimed, as the boat turned into the sewer drain. the six year olds, rushed to the storm drain peering in, atlas, georgie, and maeve peered into the sewer drain, only to jump back as pennywise materialized through the shadows, startling the trio.
"derry's not like any town i've been in before. people die or disappear, six times the national average. and that's just grown ups—kids are worst, way, way worse."
