Yellow eyes filled with malice scanned the town, a smirk on his face as Oni King Rasen sat on his throne, surrounded by his loyal Onimaro.

After so long... he was finally going to rule over the human world, and quite possibly the Youmakai. Now all he had to deal with was those pesky humans and their annoying Youkai pets. How long would that take? A mere second?

Rasen laughed. How dare those humans think they had a chance against him. After everything he went through, he could face anything now.

Are you sure?

He froze. That voice....!

Sneers, mocking words began entering his mind.

He gripped the arm of his chair, almost breaking it. Why wouldn't they just leave him alone?

"Leave me alone, leave me alone, leave me alone!!!!"

Was he even hearing his own voice from all that time ago?

He gripped his head, trying to control himself. He couldn't break now! He had to be strong!
Yes, his last vow to them was that he was going to be strong. His last words to them that he hoped they heard.

That day was the reason he could fight now. These pathetic Youkai... they treated Oni like nothing... like something that could be easily forgotten.

Those Enmas were despicable. They deserved to perish. They didn't care, they spouted nonsense about humans infecting Yo-kai with misdeeds, when it was the Yo-kai themselves at fault. The Enma just blamed whoever they first laid eyes on, they took no responsibility.

They got rid of his tribe, and told others that it was a tribe that deserved its punishment. Huh... what stupid words... how could they say that? Even the humans nowadays associated Oni with evil and bad luck. The Enma tribe was the one who deserved to die. They had to be punished for their discrimination.

Rasen gave a chuckle, hopefully that Kaira guy would execute all of the Enma tribe, he had the darkness in him for it. It was all ready. The plan he had set in motion... It was going to come to fruition. Perhaps he should greet the humans with something 'nice', as a thanks for entertaining him for a good while.

Hm... what should he give them? A quick death? No that seemed too generous. Perhaps he could taunt them for their weaknesses? No, they'd probably learn from those weaknesses if he just blatantly pointed them out, he knew better than that.

Rasen frowned, eyebrows going down in a strange thinking pose. Now that he thought of it, it sure had been a while since he gave a gift to someone... even longer back if one were thinking about a genuine gift.

"What should I give them?" He mumbled. It was a strange dilemma he had here. What gifts did he give to people in the past? He mulled over it, not noticing the confused looks his henchmen were giving him.

After about ten minutes that probably should have gone into battle plans, Rasen clicked his fingers. That's it! He almost wished there was a lightbulb above him, to flicker at his victory.

"Rasen-sama?" Poor poor Onimaro. They were witnessing their boss being... Strange.

"Silence, I just lost my brilliant idea!" Rasen waved his hand, shooing away the millions of Onimaro, "Go attack some humans, and, I don't know... do bad stuff, I'm pondering on something important."

It was hilarious seeing how the group of small gremlins stared at their master. Was something wrong with him? Was he sick? Was old age finally getting to him?

"Rasen-sama, should we take you to the hospital?" One of them was brave enough to speak up. One of them had heard that the boy, Touma, had parents who were doctors there. Perhaps, maybe after they finished being all scared, they could help their master. Oh and also, if their master could fit in the hospital.

Could he, though? He was a giant. A massive one. And he didn't have a Lightside to shrink down to. He was special. Very... very special.

Rasen stopped, "Why do I feel like someone's thinking ill of me?" he mumbled to himself.

The Onimaro all gulped. Were they going to die?

"Probably those humans," Rasen added, nodding as if agreeing with himself. Yeah that made total sense! His henchmen would never do that. Everyone knows that in a show like Yo-kai Watch, no henchmen has character personality beyond just simple quirks. With that in mind, he just knew they didn't have the guts for that. That was so true.

"Y- Yeah..." the Onimaro nodded.

"Did I ask for your opinion?" Rasen turned around, raising his eyebrow. He sure had the sass of those Queen Bees they heard of that are in high school. How old was their king again?

"O-Of course not! M-my apologies!" He stammered.

"Thought so," Rasen pressed his lips together, turning away from the Onimaro. Now, back to more important matters: the gift!

Gift gift gift.... What should he get for them? Perhaps he should dig into his past memories to think of something. Yes, that was a good idea... he closed his eyes, relaxing into the throne. It had been awhile since he last relaxed like this.

Once again, the Onimaro stared at their leader in confusion. Did old people always drift off like that? He was acting weird. They sure hoped this wouldn't get in the way of their battle against the humans.

A deep sigh came out of Rasen's mouth, he was reminiscing way too much. The past... was harsh for him. He shouldn't try to think about it so much. Rubbing his forehead, he inhaled.

"I'll just give them a quick death," Rasen announced.

The Onimaro all tilted their heads again.

"Come on Onimaro! What are you waiting for? We have to do some planning!" Rasen chastised them like a grandpa scolding his grandchildren.

"We don't understand, Rasen-sama," the whole group chorused in perfect unity. What were they supposed to do?

"You're all hopeless," Rasen sighed, dramatically sitting back down on his throne as if exhausted by the Onimaro's very presence.

They all tilted their heads once again.

"Go away, leave my sight, I don't want to deal with your unwavering stupidity," Rasen gracefully waved his hand at them like some actual Queen.

Was he a Queen Bee now? Or did something happen to him? Maybe he just had cold feet. Yeah that sounded logical! Those humans were quite powerful! They had Touma on their side too!

Obviously, all of that must have frightened their poor master. As old and scary as he was, he was still pitiful. In fact, if he didn't have all that power, he might as well be seen as a helpless old man who's being picked on by a bunch of kids, just because he hurt their feelings. When it was put like that, it almost sounded like Rasen was the victim.

Victim. Oh god, that sounded so cute! It had been a while since they last thought of their master as cu- No! They can't reminisce! That would mean they're getting old! They shuddered.

"What's the matter now?" Rasen sighed as he turned to his subordinates again.

"N-Nothing Rasen-sama.." they chorused.

"Then go," Rasen cheeks almost puffed up like a pufferfish.

They barely managed to stop their eyes from rolling, "Hai, Rasen-sama." And off they went, to spread evil and misdeeds, or at least, they tried to.
