Chapter 4: Answers

Kuraisora's Point Of View....

I woke up a bit early than usual because I wanted to get started early. I wanted to make a many sweets as I can and try it out. I was also really happy that I got to be in the kitchen as well. As I rubbed my eyes, I felt weight on my waist and felt something breathing underneath me. 'I was with Ginji last night so could it possibly be him?' I thought as I recalled yesterday. I decided to take a peek under me and saw that I was laying on Ginji's chest. "That was why I felt so warm and safe." I mumbled to myself. After talking to him, I felt more safe with him. 'He looks peaceful like this.' I thought as I looked at him. He was always busy with work and would work himself hard. But his personality was really warm and welcoming. As I was staring, I noticed his ears twitched a bit. "Adorable." I said as I looked at it. It was funny how his ears twitch and it seemed to make him look more cuter. I decided to look at his face until I saw two blue eyes staring at me. But it seemed as if he was still sleepy. "What are you doing?" He asked me. "Sorry for waking you up." I said in a low voice to him. "It was nothing, I usually wake up at this time." He said to me with a smile. "I see. Well, if you could release me, I would get up." I said to him with a small laugh. He looked at me in confusion until I pointed to my waist. He looked at me with wide eyes and let go. "Sorry about that." He said to me. "Well, we were both comfortable, I didn't mind." I said as I got up. "Well, why did you wake up so early for?" He asked me as we both got up to stretch. "I figured that since I just got hired, I would make a few recipes." I said to him. We both turned the other way as we changed. I have been using his clothes but he didn't mind. "Sorry about using your clothes all the time." I said to him. "It's nothing to worry about. I have extras and besides, I doubt you would want to wear torn clothes." He said to me with a laugh. "I know but I feel like I'm taking you for granted." I said with a sigh. As I finished, I felt arms around me. "You are not. Besides, you should take this as tine to heal up. You shouldn't do anything to strenuous." He said as he wrapped his arms around me. "I know but I want to protect my family from danger." I said as I looked down. "I know that you care about them but you won't be able to save anyone if you aren't healed." He said to me in a soft voice. I knew he was right about that. If I was injured, then I won't be able to protect them as good. "But I feel useless just staying here and doing nothing." I said as I clenched my fists. "Hey, that's not true. You have helped our Tenjin-ya a lot. We got a lot of good reviews because of you. You helped with the customers' kids and entertain all the guests as well." He said as he put his hand on my fists. I let out a shaky breath and unclenched my fists. "Let's go and cook." I said with a smile. 'He is right. I can help them until I am fully healed up.' I thought to myself. "Can I help you out with anything?" He asked me. I started to think about it and decided to let him help me. "Sure, that could be useful." I said to him. If I had him, I would be able to get more done as well as finish early. He could also be the taste tester for men I know that Aoi won't be up until sunrise and that meant we still had at least four hours to cook. I could manage to do all that I want in that time. We both started to quietly make out way out of the room. We didn't want to wake anyone up with unnecessary noise. "We should hurry before Aoi wakes up." I whispered to him. "You're right." He whispered back with a quiet laugh. We both snuck out way to Moonflower. We had to gw sure to not make any nose because Aoi might wake up. I was glad that I still had my bag because that held a lot of my cooking utensils in there. "Now you start to boil the water while I chop these chocolates into pieces and place them in the bowl." I said to him. "Okay but what are these all for?" He asked as he pointed to my tempering tools for the chocolate. "That's used for the chocolate to make it smooth and have a nice texture." I said to him. He nodded in understanding and started to get a pot while I was helping him get all the things we needed. We had to be extra careful because if one pot or bowl fell, it would surely wake up Aoi. She needed all the sleep she could get because of how hardworking she is. 'This will be the first time cooking with someone that isn't family.' I thought to myself with a smile. "Any specific things you are going to make?" He asked me in curiosity. "I guess we will just see where it takes us. I still have no real clue about what to make but it will be a variety of desserts from the Apparent Realm." I said to him in all honesty. That was why I woke up early because I had so many ideas for it. I wanted to have a variety for the guests to choose from. Since they have a girl who will be celebrating her birthday, I wanted to make a Princess cake for her since she loved them.
