"Why the fuck didn't you tell me?! Why are you telling me now?!", You shouted at him. "You never asked! How the HELL was I supposed to know you were only 20?", He shouted back. You had been dating Min Yoongi for a year now, and the both of you were such CLOWNS you didn't even bother to ask about other's ages. Just when you were about to move into his place, he asked you. You had always thought he was around 19 or 20, he looked so young. That was when he told you he was 27. You were awestruck and had no idea what to do.

You thought you loved Yoongi, but it couldn't be possible to be with someone who was 7 whole years older than you. "I'm sorry Yoongi.. but this isn't going to work out. We'll have to start our lives late and it will be a mess. I love you. I really do! But what will people think about you? I'm sorry.", you managed to say while trying not to cry. "WHO CARES WHAT PEOPLE THINK? AGE IS JUST A NUMBER!", he shouted so loud you flinched. When he realized he quickly apologized. "I'm sorry y/n, I didn't mean to startle you. But please, don't leave me. I'm begging you.",

He was so pale and his eyes were getting glossy. "I'm sorry Yoongi, I don't want to, but its for the best. If age is just a number, then prison is just a room. I don't want you to regret it later. Your life will be ruined because of me, you'll have to start a family later and it will be all my fault!", "please, y/n.. I just want to be with you. It makes me happy. Please don't go..", he said, falling to his knees. "I'm sorry Yoongi.", you said and left before you started balling your eyes out. You felt so guilty and selfish, you wanted to go back, and reassure him that everything was fine. But you couldn't. You knew this was the best decision, he would be happier in the future.

All you wanted for him was for him to be happy, even if you were not. If you had stayed with him, he would be more heartbroken in the future. He would probably forget about you in less than a year. Yoongi also had his entire career ahead of him, because of you that could've been ruined. You couldn't go to sleep thinking about Yoongi. "What will happen to him in his future life? Did I make a mistake?" These words repeated all over in your head. You really wanted to call him, but you didn't have the courage. You were already a mess; your hair looked like a tornado, your eyes were swollen from crying, and you were just clueless.

This could've all been avoided if you had just asked about his age when you first met, but no. It didn't matter to you. He was the kindest, cutest, and most generous guy you had met. At that instant, you immediately regretted it all, but there was no turning back now. What had been done has been done and can't be repaired. You were so stupid, you left your favourite person in the world just because he was seven years older than you? You could never forgive yourself. You tried calling him but he didn't answer, and that was when you lost all hope.

You had just lost the love of your life.
