3 years later:
It had been 3 years since you left Yoongi, you tried to forget about him but you couldn't.You still felt so guilty and blamed everything on yourself. You never tried contacting him even though how much you wanted to, but neither did he. Your life was not the same without him. You were always lonely and drifted away from most of your friends. However, you didn't want to be a total failure so you had decided to get interviewed for a job last year, and you got it. You had become a secretary for a popular company called BigHit. You had made friends with the other workers and they were really nice. You came to work one day, heading to your office, but one of the employees stopped you.

"Y/n, there's a meeting in 4 minutes, c'mon!", he said as you both made your way to the meeting room and sat down. Your boss, the CEO of Bighit, was already there. "Okay listen up, everyone. My time here has ended unfortunately and I am retiring. Your new boss will arrive tomorrow morning, so make sure to greet him with a warm welcome. I'll miss y'all!", you were slightly saddened by this, he was very nice and welcoming. You hoped the next would also be the same. After work you and your colleagues decided to have one last party just for him. "Bye Mr.Bang. We'll miss you.", one of your friends waved as we all left.

Next day:
You and your fellow colleague, Lalisa, walked into the BigHit building. "I can't wait to meet the new boss. What if he's younger? And cute?", Lisa kept saying. "Don't get your hopes too high.", you chuckled. You sat down at your meeting table, keeping a smile on your face to greet the new CEO. Everyone waited patiently until the door opened and footsteps were heard. "Hello everyone, I'm Min Yoongi and I am the new CEO of BigHit. I want you all to still feel welcome here with me.", the smile on your face slowly became a frown. "Min Yoongi Huh.. I told you he was gonna be young and cute!", Lisa said excitedly, but you didn't tell her anything about him and what you knew.

You tried not to cry as memories were coming back from three years ago. After he finished talking everyone made their way back to the offices. You kept trying to convince yourself that wasn't actually Min Yoongi, but you weren't dreaming. He actually was in the same building as you. You were doing your paperwork silently until your co-worker, Sehun, came into your office. "Yo y/n, the boss wants you to come to his office. Don't ask me why, he didn't say.", "Okay, I'll be right there.", Then he left. Why did Yoongi want to talk to you? You organized your desk and anxiously but slowly walked to his office. You took a deep breathe before knocking on the door."You wanted to see me, Mr.Min?",

"Yes. Sit down, Y/n.". You made direct eye contact with him for a millisecond until you looked away in embarrassment. "How have you been? It's been quite a long time hasn't it?" He asked you. "It sure has..", He started fidgeting with his hands and you noticed he had a ring on his ring finger. "Did you get married?", you asked out of suspicion, pointing at the ring. "Not yet, but I'm happily engaged. Thank you for asking.", He replied bluntly. "Well I just wanted to ask how you were doing. You can go now.", He said shooeing you off. "Bye.", you said leaving.

Had he already found someone else? And was engaged? You had avoided dating anyone just because you still had hope that you could meet Yoongi again, but it turned out he was about to be married. Pfft, you had just wasted three whole years of your life thinking about him not knowing he had already found someone else.
