Bad News (Part 23)

Maura woke up about 2 hours later with Bryce next to her. She rolled over to see him playing on his phone. 

"When did you get here?" She asked.

"Maybe like an hour and a half ago, I didn't want to wake you." He smiled at her. 

"Did Tayler tell you?" She asked him. He nodded. 

"I'm so sorry Maura" He said with a frown.

"Maybe Tayler was right, it just was not my time to be pregnant." She sighed laying her head on Bryce's shoulder. 

"Don't blame yourself this shit just happens sometimes." He smiled slightly at her. "I did want to tell you that Dre called while you were sleeping. I didn't want to answer and him get the wrong idea." 

Tayler then walked into the room and sat on the end of his bed. 

"You okay?" He asked.

"I never will be, but I guess I should face Dre and tell him." She sighed and grabbed her phone and called Ondreaz back. About 3 rings and he finally answered. 

"Hey is everything okay? I called almost two hours ago to check on you." He said as soon as he answered the phone.

"Um kind of, just let me know when you're heading back home. I want you to come to Tayler's we need to talk." She sighed.

"Whats going on?" He asked.

"Just want to go over some things from the doctor." Maura said before hanging up the phone. She looked at Tayler and Bryce who both had grim faces on. They both felt really bad for her.

"Guys I'm not dying, this is something I will get over eventually." She half smiled. 

"Maura, I am just worried about you. We know how you are when you get bad news and the depressive state you get into." Bryce said and Tayler nodded. They just continued sitting around in Tayler's bed watching movies until Ondreaz came over. Around 4pm, He texted Maura to say he was on his way over. Bryce decided he would leave just in case. 

"Let me know if you need anything. The Sway House is always open to my favorite girl." He smiled before kissing her on the forehead and leaving. It was now 4:45pm and Ondreaz knocked on Tayler's door. 

"Hey Dre, shes in my room." Tayler said answering the door. Ondreaz walked in the bedroom to see Maura laying on the bed. She looked like she had been laying there for two weeks straight. 

"Whats going on babe?" He asked her as he sat next to her on the bed. 

"I-I have some b-bad news." Maura said trying not to make herself upset again. "When I went to the doctor today, the doctor had trouble finding the baby's heartbeat.." She started wiping away tears. "They said in the next day or two there wont be a heartbeat and they want me to get a procedure to get the baby out." Tayler came in and sat on the bed as well.

"They called me down because they did not want her to take the news alone and I did not want her to bother you at your meetings." Tayler added.

"So you just don't include the father of this child in the whole thing? I guess I have no say in this whole baby thing huh? Just like how I didn't want you to talk to Bryce or Jaden anymore and you still do? Don't think I didn't know he was here." Ondreaz said angrily getting up from the bed.

"Dude come on my sister went through this alone. You are always at meetings leaving her alone while she's pregnant or upset. She relies on Bryce and Jaden because they have been there for her everytime she asks you are too focused on your career to give a shit." Tayler argued.

"Guys please.." Maura begged crying.

"Just leave Ondreaz. I don't want you anywhere near my sister if you are going to blame her for this bullshit." Tayler argued. Ondreaz just stood there.

"No I'm leaving. I am going to the apartment, getting my stuff and leaving. I cannot do this with either one of you." Maura got up from the bed, grabbed her keys and slammed the door behind her. She drove back to her apartment. When she got inside she went into the other bedroom's closet to get her clothes when she had seen little pieces of the nursery furniture she had picked out. She immediately collapsed on the floor crying, to the point she was having trouble breathing. She couldn't understand how her life went so down hill so fast. It was killing her inside. She didn't know what to do. Then she heard the door open and Ondreaz was standing there. He saw her on the floor crying and sat next to her.

"I am sorry the way I reacted was uncalled for. I love you so much and I never knew how you really felt about all this." Ondreaz sighed. 

"I still need time. I need to stay somewhere other than here. I need to get away from everyone. This is just all too much." She said trying to get up off the floor to grab clothes. Ondreaz stood up and got her clothes together and helped her off the floor.

"I'll be here whenever you are ready to talk." He half smiled handing her the bag. Maura hugged him, grabbed the bag and headed back to her car. She saw the gender reveal decorations in her backseat and she threw them. She didn't know where she was going until she pulled up to a familiar home.
