Angel's dad was a piece of work. He could be sweet when he was sober and a complete dick when he was drunk. And unfortunately for her, he was drunk most of the time.

Angel at the age of seven sat in her room, holding onto her pillow as she listened to her parent's fight. 'You're never home! I'm basically raising her on my own, she needs her father!' Quinn shouted.

'You were the one who wanted this, you can't blame me if you can't handle it.' He chuckled.

"I wanted this? Just me? God, you are just like you were in high school. I thought you changed, you said you'd change.'

      'I did change, i became a father!'

'Clearly not.'

And that didn't change as she grew up.

Even at Eleven, she sat there, her back against the wall as she listened to her parents argue. 'That's what you want?'

      'Yeah.'

'Fine, great. Do whatever the hell you want. You leave your shit all over this house, dress like a pig, drink your fucking life away. I don't care. I'm done.' Quinn glared, moving around the house, picking things up.

       'What?' Elias laughed.

'I'm done.' She repeated. 'I don't deserve this, Angel doesn't deserve this. We really do not deserve this, we deserve someone who gives a shit! I'm not spending one more second if this life with you!'

'So what? You want me to leave?'

'Yes, get the fuck out!'

Angel watched as her family literally broke apart, and there wasn't anything she could do about it. And one days, she was just over it.

At twelve, Angel had had enough. 'Can you two just get a fucking divorce already, fuck!' She shouted, throwing the front door open and walking out of the house

So, they did. But a couple of months after the divorce, Elias tried to change, he took advantage of being able to see her although it wasn't perfect, he tried. He visited her twice a month, took her for ice cream, the fair, whatever he could. And she finally felt happy again.
But eventually, it became once a month, and then every other month. Until it just stopped. She hadn't heard from him in a few months, he missed her fourteenth birthday, and she honestly thought maybe he was just out of her life.
Until one day, she was walking home with Nate and he was sitting against his car in the driveway.
