"Her name is Katelyn Ming! A doctor as well as corporate business woman of the Ming Chinese Hospital. She's achieved quite a few awards lately about her stunning work and pro bono surgeries." Ani ni Cresencia sa akin while examining the report she got from her investigator.

On the night Darwin called noong nasa penthouse ako ni Alduke, I heard her on the background. I also saw her at the party as she talks gracefully to his family. This Katelyn girl was even invited upstairs of their manor for a more private conversation. Sa sobrang daming pagkakataon na naririnig ko siya sa mga tawag, I was bound to be curious. Darwin is with her right now as we speak, I deserve to know who she is.

So Cres, being the paranoid she is, hired an investigator to research about Katelyn. Kanina pa kami nagsimula and all I could hear are her award winning milestones and the fact that she's always nominated for being the face and beauty of multiple pharmaceuticals and hospitals.

"She's pretty. Looks like she can't even break anything. Are you sure she's with him? I mean it's possible but why?" Takang tanong sa akin ni Cres.

Nagpatuloy siyang magbasa ng report while my mind drifted off to something else. I pouted. "Hindi ko sila pinagsasabay, okay? Walang nangyayari samin ni Alduke."

"Keep denying it, baka sakaling maniwala ako." She laughed. "Wala ngang nangyayari sainyo ni Alduke but in your little head of yours surely meron! Heard you crying his name last night, can you explain that? Your own subconscious is outing you."

I looked at my hands and all I could imagine was him. As much as I hate it, she's right. I've been thinking a lot about Alduke lately and its making me think of the five years I've spent with Darwin. I remember declining his call and going to Alduke's aid quickly noong gabing nalasing siya. It was so easy and quick for me to ignore his call pagkatapos niyang hindi tumawag for days and it wasn't because I was mad at him but because I know to myself I have set priorities.

Alam kong hindi tama ang ginagawa ko and I'm surprised that his friends are not even blaming me or mad at me for doing this to them. My heart still belongs to Darwin.... but I'm not sure if I can hold much longer. Knowing that he's out there doing god knows what with another girl tapos ayaw pa ng pamilya niya sakin.

"What would you have done if you were in my position, Cres?" Biglang tanong ko sakanya.

Kumunot ang noo niya. "It's 9 am in the morning yet we're talking about something that should be accompanied with beer" Seryoso ko siyang tinignan kaya naman she sighed in defeat. "I don't know. We have different lives, Savannah. But if mine was exactly like yours, I'd leave Darwin."
