Fatima grabbed her handbag hurriedly and headed towards the door, "I'm leaving now Amma Jaan."

"Remember you need to come early today, right?" Naheed called after her.

"Yes! I remember, Allah Hafiz." Saying that she left for the school.

Her parents had called her yesterday night and told her that a family is coming tomorrow for seeking girl for their son. Her father told her that he had talked to them that evening and they were pretty eager to meet them so they fixed the time for meeting the very next day. Now she had to take an early leave although she didn't have late classes for today so it will be easy to get out, but she had planned other work to do after, guess she'd be postponing.

"Class did you understand the project clearly, if you have any questions about it feel free to ask, got it?" The class replied in affirmative. Fatima continued, " and you ask for help in this project from your siblings and parents and whomever, but the project needs to be submitted by next Saturday." Hearing another 'yes' from the students, she started preparing to leave recalling her mother's reminder.

Before she made a short visit to stuff office to leave few things in her locker. She had already informed her senior teacher about the matter, her colleague walked in right when she was about to leave, "I heard someone is coming to see you today huh? So shall I be expecting wedding bells soon?" She teased her wiggling her eyebrows. Fatima just shrugged and smiled in response and said, "I can not say anything about it." After saying that she left the office to head home.

. . . .

"O Allah, why did you burn those samosas?, you know they were for the guests tooba!, fatima you did make those spring rolls didn't you, get them out of freezer, see if your father has brought biscuit from bakery," Naheed were is chaos, she wanted make major high tea for the guest and wanted everything perfect.

"Yes! Ami I've freezed them last night, calm down Amma Jaan everything will be fine, Insha'Allah don't worry too much." Fatima tried to calm her mother down it was indeed a big deal for her but it doesn't mean she had to get her blood pressure high, she didn't want to get her health effected.

"You will never understand beta, I really wish to get you married and for that to happen I have to do everything I can."

"Amma jaan, it sounded like you are running in election and you have to do anything to win." Tooba who was frying the samosa joked, she tried to said the last part in manly and declarative manner.

"It is close to that situation." Naheed replied.

"Well, my vote is reserved for you, May the odds be against you Amma Jaan." Fatima laughed at tooba.

Naheed shook her head, "you guys will never get serious huh? You'll always stay as kid"

"Obviously, we are your cute and pretty kids after all." Tooba made a flower pot face.

"That is enough tooba, more work less distraction." Fatima warned her in jokingly manner, tooba had to have the end of conversation "Hey! What are you saying? I am the distraction" she emphasized the 'am' part, at that Naheed laughed as well and agreed to it tooba was indeed good at being distraction.

The door opened and in walked their father with the bakery items, "Naheed they called, they'll be here in 15 minutes, have you prepared everything?"

"Yes! I'm almost done, zakariya I'm worried will everything go well? I have really got my hopes up for this!"

"We can only hope for the best and left the rest to Allah." Zakariya encouraged her. After few minutes the bell rung zakariya opened the door alongside Naheed, they welcomed the family with greetings, and let them in, there were total three people, a middle aged women with a good modest style and a man in his early fifties as Zarkariya's friend told him his Name was Ansari Khalid , and of course their son Sarfaraz Khalid. Zakariya took them into their living room.
