The Min family all sit around the dinner table inside the house with the main light switched off and just some low-light lamps and candles lighting the room, creating a warm and comfortable glow.
"I don't think the three-point line would have done anything." Yoongi and Mr. Min are discussing sports once again and Seokjin was just waiting until Jimin showed up and he could have a nice pleasant conversation with him.
No one - apart from Jungkook who was snacking - had touch the food yet, all waiting for Jimin to show up and join them so they could all eat dinner together.
"He was taller than anyone alive." Yoongi argued with his father.
"No, but it helped Seungjin."
"Ha Seungjin is incredible."
"It helped him." Mr. Min retaliate.
Seokjin groaned, shooting daggers at his brother and father, sick to death of their stupid bickering. "You're men. You like sports. We get it."
The two just ignore him though and carry on with their heated discussion.
"Scored eighty-one points. Please."
Jin's eyes light up the minute he catches sight of Jimin by the dining room doorway, sitting up straighter in his seat and beaming happily at the younger. "Hey! We were waiting for you."
This catches everyone's attention and all conversation stops as they all turn to look at where Jimin stands.
Yoongi is the first to notice the bag sat by Jimin's feet, eyebrows furrowing with confusion.
"I actually got a call from work." Jimin shuffles nervously, rubbing his arm up and down. "I have to be on a flight back to Seoul tonight."
Yoongi's eyes widen and he blocks out everyone else in the room focusing his full attention onto the shy boy in front of them. "Tonight?"
"Yeah." Jimin nods.
"Tomorrow's the fifteenth."
"I know it sucks." Jimin shrugs, avoiding eye contact with Yoongi.
Yoongi stands up and starts making his way over towards Jimin. "Well, at least let me drive you to the airport."
"No, no." Jimin is quick to protest, shaking his hands in the air rapidly. "It's fine. Stay. I already called a cab. It's out front." He then lifts his head up, smiling sweetly towards Seokjin, Mr. Min and Jungkook. "But thank you guys for everything. And thank you for letting me stay here. It's been pretty great." He bends his knees and reaches down to pick up his luggage, turning around and walking away from the dining room.
Yoongi stands frozen for a moment watching Jimin as he turns to leave, before turning his head to look at the rest of his family and noticing his brother's gesture to go and stop the younger male. So Yoongi quickly turns and chases after him until he catches up to stop Jimin from walking away "Hey."
Jimin pauses, sighing under his breath, before spinning around and finally facing Yoongi. "Hey."
"Everything okay, buddy?" Yoongi notices how Jimin is avoiding his eyes, so beds his head to try to get him to look at him.
Jimin finally lifts his head and stares him straight in the eyes, but there is no warmth or kindness in them like their usually is. "Yeah, buddy. Everything's great. I just really gotta go. So, thank you again." Jimin starts to feel the tears brimming up in his eyes and wants to get away as quickly as possible. "I'm sorry. I gotta go."
"Let Yoongi drive you." Mr. Min interrupts.
"Yeah." Seokjin adds, not wanting Jimin to leave alone. "Do you wanna take some food to go?" He stands up, ready to start scooping up the dinner for Jimin to take with him.
