Chapter 12

The Party Wagon stops right in front of the pathway leading up to the Technodrome. All of the turtles and 2 mutated turtle-hybrids, 2 Jessika's, 2 Rachael's and 2 Ashlynn's step out of the van. 

"Hey. They've rolled out the welcome mat!" Raphael gestures to the path. "Then how come I ain't feeling welcome?" Raph asked, having a feeling that this could be a trap. The 80s gang laugh, but Leo steps up to them. "You don't understand. The Utrom Shredder...isn't like your Shredder. He's vicious." He warns. "Lethal." Donnie continues. "Dangerous." Jessie said. 

"Destructive." Rachael said. "Competent." Mikey said. "Ruthless." Nate said as he crossed his arms. "A sociopath. And that's just one of them!" Ashly tells them seriously. "There are multiple Shredders in our dimension and they're all just as bad. We thought we defeated him multiple times in the past, but he was that unstoppable." Rachael said.

"We go in...no saying if we come out," Raph replies. Leonardo blinks and he thinks to himself of how risky it is. He looks at his brothers, sister and friends, finally letting it sink in that they had to be serious. He holds out his hand.

"Let's do this." He said. His seven siblings, Nathanial, Jessika, Rachael and Ashlynn place their hands on top of his. The '03 counterparts do the same. "Today, we're more than allies. We're family." Leo declares and they move their hands away as their silent vow to help Master Splinter and the world.

"Go green machine!" The '80s group cheer. "It's ninja time!" Their counterparts exclaim. "Turtle power!" The 80s turtles, Jessika, Ashlynn, Rachael and Nathanial yell. Raph growls as he clenches his fists.

"Annoying power." he pushes them up the path. "Hey!" The 80s turtles, Jessika, Ashlynn, Rachael and Nathanial said at the same time. "Move it, half-shell." Raph orders. "Quit shoving!" The 80s counterparts said. Ashly shakes her head as she follows after them. "Are you sure you're okay, Ashes?" Leo asked as he turns to her, worried once again. Rachael ran up the ramp to catch up with her fiancé.

"I am. I wanna do this, Leo. Our world is in danger. Stop worrying so much, okay?" She asked as she nods with a smile. "...Okay, if you're sure." He said as he nods in agreement. "...I do want more pizza, though." Ashly said. He can't help but laugh at her statement.

They sneak inside and find themselves cornered. "Turtles." A familiar deep male voice said. Out steps Utrom Shredder. "Thank you for accepting my...humble invitation." He said.

The '03 turtles, Jessika, Ashlynn, Rachael and Nathanial attack without hesitation, their counterparts running in to help. Leo, Donnie, Jessie and Mikey kick him into the doorway. Leo and Donnie attack first and he slams his gauntlet near Leo. Raph, Ashly, Rachael and Mikey attack next and he runs off. "I thought you said he was tough." Michelangelo says to his counterpart, but he doesn't know how cunning Utrom Shredder could be. They're led to where Splinter is.

"My children! It is a trap!" He said. His cuffs are stuck to a pole in the middle of the room. They turn around to see the door closing in. Nate growled as he stood in front of Jessie. "If there is one constant in the multiverse, it is the predictability of you turtles and girls!" Utrom Shredder said as he is outside of the room, making himself heard through speakers inside a control room.

"Threaten something you hold dear." He gestures to Splinter. All 24 counterparts stood their grounds. "And you will ignore your better instincts. You should have stayed away." He said as he presses a button, their environment turning into a blue room. The walls change into a dome and the floor cracks underneath them. Utrom Shredder is lowered into the room and he's placed onto a platform. The walls change again to turn into a trans-dimensional portal room, but it starts to slow down.

All 24 of them are on a rectangular platform, separated from Splinter. One thing to note is that the lights start to dimmer, as if the portal is running out of power for some reason. "Now, shall we begin?" He asked. Electricity grabs all of them except Ashly and Rachael, dragging them into a hold that makes them unable to move. Splinter gasps as he looks around.

"Guys! Oh no!" Ashly glances around at them in worry. Rachael gasped. They start spinning around and Ashy and Rachael presses her fists together, firing a powerful ice blast at Leo and Raph's cages.

Unfortunately for them, it has no effect and they ducks as the blast flies past them. "You plan on doing us in. There's gotta be an easier way." Raph tries to reason with him.

"Oh, you shall perish, but not yet. You see, like you, I recently learned that ours is but a single dimension in a multiverse of dimensions. Intrigued, I used this very portal to survey them all. Which is when I made a startling, horrible discovery—not simply 16 of you, but scores of you! Behold—a multiverse of accursed teenage mutant ninja turtles, Jessika's, Ashlynn's, Rachael's and Jameson's!" Windows into the other worlds appear above him, showing many universes that feature them, Nate, Rachael, Jessika and Ashly. Of course, all of them are different.

"Awesome!" The 80s counterparts exclaim. Ashly and Rachael looks at all the universes in shock, as they never seen anything like this before... "How many more of you are there?" She asked/murmurs, as she and Rachael has enough to deal with having four turtles around.

"Destroying the 24 of you would accomplish nothing. So long as ninja turtles and girls exist somewhere in the multiverse, they will interfere in the plans of the Shredder! Our epic battle is never going to end, unless I put an end to turtles, Jessika, Ashlynn, Rachael and Nathanial forever!" He declares. "Even a creature as power-mad as you cannot believe he has the ability to subvert the entire multiverse." Splinter denies. "Let us put that to a test, vermin. It seems that, like branches hanging off a single tree." He said. 

A hologram of the Earth appears in front of him. "Each of these dimensions sprang from a common source." He said. They divide into multiple Earths. "Destroy the source, and you would set off a chain reaction that would destroy ninja turtles, Jessika's, Ashlynn's, Rachael's and Nathanial's everywhere." He said. The Earths explode into bits. "Forevermore!" He said.

Splinter gasps at his plan, Ashly and Rachael looking up in shock and dismay. "But...as it turns out, there isn't enough to power this portal. Notice all of the technical difficulties, rat." Shredder gestures to the turtles, two mutated turtle-hybrids, 2 Jessika's, Rachael and Ashlynn, who are slowing down. "What, you didn't pay your electricity bill?" Ashlynn asked sarcastically.

"I need more to scan you, breaking you down for the sole purpose of discovering your source DNA. A large energy source would be needed..." Utrom Shredder said. He glances at Splinter and then at Ashly and Rachael, who narrows her eyes at him. "A source of power that I will steal...from your daughters!" He said.
