A/N: yes. That is captain marvel. Her powers and glowing is part of my inspiration for Kace's powers. Not all of her powers are taken from cap marvel though. Enjoy this extra chapter!
Kace was smart, she always had been. If Delta failed in retrieving her, she knew Oberon would send Apollo after her instead.
Kace pulled out the tablet and continued swiping through Nia's profile. Before the battle at Tilo, Nia had been stationed at Nuniq, which is why Kace decided to live there first, in hopes of Nia perhaps returning for her belongings. She waited for three weeks in Nuniq, but there was no sign of Nia. But Kace stayed in Nuniq. There were many reasons why. But now it had to come to an end.
Nia had been a friend of Kace's when they were being worked on by the Syndicate. Nia never trusted the goodness of the organization; the justice system of the entire galaxy. When the Syndicate was attacked at Tilo Outpost, the one person that belonged to Nia was killed by one of the men. A rayorb's laser sliced directly through his neck, killing him instantly.
Kace never saw Nia again. She assumed Nia was killed too, until she looked at databases, unsatisfied with the ploy that she had been killed. She found that all deaths were accounted for, and each death had a face and a name. There was no name or face that matched Nia's. The syndicate is thorough, and so is Kace. There is no way that they would have just forgotten Nia. So, Nia was not killed. And Kace made it her mission to find her friend.
Kace made it to a charge cafe, and walked inside, hood up to hide her unmistakable, Syndicate sanctioned white hair, a color to signify one of the altered. The color came from the changes made in the DNA and the synapses in the brain. The colors varied, but most were blonde in color, usually in resemblance of pure platinum metal. The Altered always had inhuman features, some had veins so noticeably dark it could be seen on even the darkest skin. Some had skin with black designs naturally appearing throughout the entire body.
Kace had her hair and her eyes. Whenever she used her power, especially when she used strong power, they glowed as bright as a yellow sun. She felt that they made her beautiful... but this beauty also came from the man who made her a murderer. Apollo.
