Avneet had moved to New York, but for what? She moved to New York to become something. To become someone. All her life she grew up and everything that she did was for everyone. She never did anything for herself, and she needed a change in her life... before it was ruined. Her father was a very strict man. He was against the idea of letting her out of the house, let alone out of the country. She is from a poor family, well not really that poor. More like a middle-class family, and they didn't have the money to send their daughter to the USA. She would spend all her time in her room studying when she could. In a typical Indian family, you must help your family with chores or it is called disrespectful. She was always helping her mom with chores.

Her best friend, Vaishnavi Rao, also her next-door neighbor was originally from a rich family. They then put her up for her adoption because they didn't want to handle a child, they were a busy family and knew they couldn't take up the responsibility of a child. Luckily Avneet's neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. Rao also had the same last name. They never let anyone know that they had adopted Vaishnavi and they treated her as their own. Vaishnavi's real parents still sent Vaish money every month, and since they were rich you already know it was a lot. Mr. and Mrs. Rao never used any of that money. Instead, they even gave Vaish money too sometimes. Avneet got a scholarship which allowed her to go to New York, and Vaish contributed to help her out with fees too!

An alarm started ringing. It was at 5 am. Avneet woke up and stretched in bed. Avi and Vaish both lived in a luxurious flat in New York, in which they both worked very hard to earn.
