Hogwarts-Hospital Wing-Later June 6, 1975

Hermione and Ginny had been asleep the whole day. It wasn't difficult to see why. From what they had been saying earlier, they had been under the Cruciatious curse, and then sent to Hogwarts from out of nowhere. They had obviously been through a lot, and they needed their rest.

It was near the end of the day when the two were finally awake enough to stand. Ginny looked over to Hermione and said, "Mione, we aren't in the right timeline. James Potter and Sirius Black were in here before. I had been going off about Harry, and asking lots of crazy questions. What if they find out who we really are? It could be dangerous! What if they told anyone?"

"Shhh, Gin! It's gonna be okay," Hermione said, "and if they told anyone about what we said, we can obliviate it out of their minds. I saw them too, and at first I thought it was just Harry-"

"Me too!" Ginny interrupted.

"Anyway, I think all we can do now is go and talk to Dumbledore, and tell him the truth."

"But Mione, what if it alters the future? What if we end up losing the war? And it would be our fault! I wouldn't be able to live with that!"

"Ginny, us being here has probably already changed the future, so all we can do now is try to change everything for the better, and try to stop so many people from being killed. Maybe Harry can grow up having parents. I know it's a big sacrifice, but its one that we have to make."

Ginny felt her heart break as Hermione was saying those words. She had always imagined having a life with Harry, and having little kids. Ron and Hermione would be together, and they would be the godparents. But she understood why that couldn't happen.

Hermione, on the other hand, just felt nervous. She looked down at her arm, where MUDBLOOD had been carved in. She knew there were so many other "mudbloods" and muggles out there who would suffer if she didn't do this right. Hermione felt as though she could never catch a break. First, being bullied in muggle school, then going through all seven years of magical education with Voldemort on her tail, and now this. She just wanted some peace. She wanted a break from the madness, but she knew deep down, if sacrificing her peace would bring it to the rest of the wizards, then she would make that sacrifice. Whether or not she liked it.

Madam Pomfrey had walked in with a tray of Pepper Up Potion. "Here you go, dearies. I hope whatever happened to you gets better," she said while walking into the back, where her office was. Little did she know, there was hardly going to be any getting better soon. If anything, this was just the start.

Ginny and Hermione had started to get out of their beds, when Dumbledore walked into the hospital wing. "Professor Dumbledore!" Ginny exclaimed, soon after realizing he had no clue as to who they were.

"Hello, Miss!" He replies, calm as ever, "I would like to speak to the two of you in my office. Privately, if that's okay." The two girls nodded, knowing even if Dumbledore had nothing to say, they would still need to talk to him.

"Okay, Professor," Hermione said, "What time would you like us to come up to your office?"

"Well, you shouldn't know your way around the castle just yet, so I think it's best I take you up with me."

"Do you mean we can finally leave?" Ginny asked, very excited that she would be able to stretch her legs again. She was never one to enjoy too much relaxing time.

"Madam Pomfrey has given me the authority to give the two of you girls permission to leave. Oh, and before I forget, what are your names?" Dumbledore asked the two girls.

Hermione and Ginny looked at each other knowingly. Ginny's parents were still in school, and if she revealed that was her name in a spot where lots of people could easily eavesdrop on them, she could be in great danger. It could reveal the fact that they are from a different timeline.

More specifically from an alternate future. The information they had could prove to be an asset to the Order, but if Voldemort got his hands on that information, he could try to capture and kill them. Nothing that he hasn't done, though.

"Sir," Hermione said, "I think we're better off talking in private."

The Headmaster nodded, not wanting to push the girls into saying something in front of who knows.

When the three arrived at the office, Dumbledore said, "Treacle Tart," and they entered his office. It had hardly changed from the last time Hermione saw it. She smiled, when she saw Fawkes perched on top of his cage. It had felt so familiar, but so different.

"Professor Dumbledore," Hermione started, "I feel we should explain ourselves, and why we had arrived so abruptly."

"Please do! I would like to know why two young ladies popped out of nowhere on the quidditch pitch." Dumbledore was happy the girls wanted to talk to him, it made his job easier overall.

"I'm Ginny... Ginny Weasley, and this is Hermione Granger," Ginny started off.

"Sorry for the interruption, Ms. Weasley, but do you have any relation to Arthur Weasley?"

"Yes, sir. He is my father," Ginny replied, and she gave Dumbledore a moment to figure things out. His eyes lit up, when he realized what this meant.

"So you're from the future," Dumbledore said, "I can assume this because you are almost Arthur's age, so it is illogical for there to be any other solution."

"Yes, sir," Hermione said, "and we were a month past when the second war was over. I helped my best friend defeat Voldemort, but I think there will be a way to kill him before so many other people are lost."

"May I ask who your friend is?" Dumbledore asked as his eyebrows shot up.

"Harry Potter, sir. The son of James Potter and, believe it or not, Lily Evans," Hermione said, smiling. She remembered stories Harry had told her about his parents. Ironically, he had heard the stories from Dumbledore.

"Is that so?" Dumbledore said with a twinkle in his eyes, "I can say I have seen her growing on him lately."

Ginny and Hermione were both happy to hear that their best friend's parents were falling for one another. "So you have just come from war? Are there any battle wounds we should have to worry about?"

Hermione nodded, "Bellatrix Lestrange tortured me a few months ago, and she carved this into my arm," she said, revealing where it said "MUDBLOOD" on her arm, "also I have another question. I don't understand how it happened, but my body has seemed to reverse age to what I was like in my fifth year. I'm not quite sure how old I am as of now. Can you perform the incantation that will reveal my age?"

"Surely, Ms. Granger," Dumbledore waved his wand and performed the spell nonverbally. There had been a flashing image of the number 16. Dumbledore turned to Ginny, "I presume you would like to know your age as well?"

Ginny nodded, and Dumbledore performed the spell again, and it revealed that Ginny was also 16.

Ginny had been surprised that she had been the same age as Hermione. They had always been a year and a few months apart, but now they could finally spend time in the same classes and dormitories!

"I assume the two of you would like to continue your education here, and finish your years in school," The girls nodded which confirmed Dumbledore's thoughts, "I expect you have already been sorted into a house, but for tradition's sake, I will have to resort you."

Ginny had been seated in the chair used to sort students since the start of Hogwarts. The sorting hat was placed on her head.

Miss Weasley, I have no recollection of you, but you clearly have worn me in your past. Now, now let's see. I could see you fit in many places. You are kind, cunning, clever, but above all, you have courage in your heart. you must be in

"GRYFFINDOR!" The hat shouted as loud as it could. It must have been excited, since it only is touched one night a year.

Hermione was next. She remembered sitting in that chair for the first time, and wondering if she would find friends where she was put. She smiled, feeling bittersweet, knowing she may never see those friends again. The hat hardly touched her head when it yelled, "GRYFFINDOR!"

Hermione and Ginny smiled at each other, ready to make some more memories at, quite literally, the most magical place in the world.

A/N: Please comment and let me know what you think. Sorry if it isn't the greatest, but like I said, stick around. It will only get better.
