Okay, finally, a new chapter. I've been working a lot on my Hunger Games fanfictions, so check those out too. Okay, now for the story.

"Sunpaw! Sunpaw! Wake up, Sunpaw!" The urgent rasping voice of Snowburst, one of ThunderClan's warriors, mewed in Sunpaw's ear.
"What do you want...?" Sunpaw groaned, rolling over.
"The camp is on fire! You must get up, now!" At these words, Sunpaw opened her eyes, jumped to her paws, and glanced frantically around for Mousepaw.
"Where is he? Where's Mousepaw?!" The golden apprentice shreiked.
"Calm down, he's already gone out. Almost the whole camp has. There's me, you, and the elders. We must fetch them!"
Sunpaw, too shocked to speak, followed the white and black warrior silently. How could the camp be on fire? There had been no storm, no lightning to trigger it. It didn't matter. She had to get to the elders.
Berrynose, the oldest cat in the clan, was stumbling toward her. "Kit? What are you doing in here? Can't you smell a fire?"
Sunpaw flushed with anger, then pushed it away. "I've come to fetch you and Crookedtail. The rest of the camp has gone."
"No. I know a sign from StarClan when I see one. They want me with them tonight." The old tom rasped. "I'm staying here."
"No! If you stay, I'll stay." Sunpaw blurted out. But as soon as she did, even her own eyes widened.
"You have to go. You're young. You have a long life ahead of you." Berrynose insisted.
"I can't leave-" Sunpaw began.
"Yes. You do." Then, the tom's eyes began to change colors, yes, colors. First blue, green, and finally orange, the color of the flames. "The sun will be lost, and one must come as a light for all five of the clans."

. . .

Sunpaw grimaced. Mousepaw was actually eating the frog. ShadowClan had provided shelter for the rest of the night, since the ThunderClan camp had burnt down.
Now it was morning. The sun had just risen, and on the horizon was that last bit of pinks, purples, and oranges. Mousepaw seemed to be enjoying the frog.
"How can you eat that?" Sunpaw mewed, scrunching up her nose in disgust.
"It's not that bad. Come on, try it." The dusty brown tom replied.
Sunpaw flinched. "No thank you..." She got to her paws and stretched. She would go to tell Willowfrost, ThunderClan's medicine cat, about what Berrynose had said last night. Right after he'd finished speaking, he coughed a little, and dropped dead. Obviously Sunpaw left after that. She and Snowburst made their way as quickly as they could to the border between ShadowClan and ThunderClan, Birchfrost, the only other elder, trailing behind them.
And now she was here. She slept in ShadowClan's apprentices' den. Fogpaw was the only apprentice in there, so there was plenty of room for the five ShadowClan apprentices.
She made her way to where Willowfrost sat gossiping with Owlfoot and Mistclaw, the ShadowClan medicine cat and one of their warriors.
"Oh, and you'll never guess what happened next. Fogpaw mewed, 'I'm still so confused!' It was hilarious! Oh and then there was this other time--"
Mistclaw was cut off by Sunpaw.
"Uhm... Willowfrost? Can I talk to you alone for a second?" The young apprentice asked awkwardly.
"Um, sure I guess." The medicine cat paused. "Owlfoot, is there a place we could speak in privacy?"
The cream-and-mud colored tom nodded. "You can head to my den. I'll make sure you aren't bothered."
Sunpaw dipped her head. "Thank you."
"Come on, then, Sunpaw."
They padded silently to Owlfoot's den, and sat down.
"Make it quick, kit, I was in the middle of a conversation over there." This was the trouble with Willowfrost. She was an absolute sweetheart to any cat outside of ThunderClan. But inside? Oh no. Pricklier than the prickliest pine tree.
"Well, I just. Um. That is..." Sunpaw began.
"Hurry it up..." Willowfrost muttered.
Sunpaw just blurted it out. "Last night when I was helping Berrynose get out of camp, before he died--"
"Oh yeah, how did that happen anyway?" The white she-cat interrupted.
Sunpaw rolled her eyes. "Not the point. Anyways, before he died, he told me I had to leave him there because I had to stay alive. That I was important and I was part of some prophecy."
Willowfrost was rolling her eyes when Sunpaw looked back up. "Look, Sunkit, Berrynose was old. He was probably about to die anyway, and we all know he sometimes got a little... Crazy." She looked around. "What I'm trying to say is, whatever the old idiot said, you don't need to worry about it." She turned and padded out of the den.
Sunpaw was taken aback. She'd never been treated like that before. She shook her head to clear her thoughts. Whatever. I'll just head back out. Maybe Mousepaw will know what to do.

A/N:

Hope you enjoyed! Sorry for the long wait. I've been busier with school lately, and I also tried to make the chapters a bit longer. I'll try to get the next one out soon. Thanks again!
