Rebel Adoption

Rebel couldn't believe it she was getting adopted! " At last! " she thought scrambling to get her brush. She had just got word yesterday and was anxious and nervous, she had never met the people who were to adopt her. "Slow down" said Mrs. Peters, Rebel was tearing through her closet to find her best outfit. Her long thick black hair was in Dutch braids,trailing down her back ending at her waist. The girls around her were jumping up and down on the grey concrete floor of the
orphanage dorm, singing a song from the orphan Annie movie. Her best friend, Amiee looked at her sadly "I guess this is goodbye" she said looking down her golden hair hiding her face from Rebels view. "Promise you won't forget about me?" Amiee said looking back up at Rebel " Promise? " Rebel looked at Amiee's innocent face and decided it would be impossible to forget about her. "I promise." She said " now come on, lunch will be ready soon and we'll be in trouble for not helping make it. " the two girls walked through the halls their boots making full thuds on the hardwood floors. Amiee finally broke the awkward silence and said " do you think they'll be nice? " ...........I dont know.... .... "Probably?" Said rebel " don't sound so unsure your making me nervous! " said Amiee " I
can't wait! " " me either. " said rebel putting on a determined smile.
We made our way to the cafeteria the sounds of dishes clattering and the other kids kids from the orphanage laughing. Then I saw them. The people who were going to adopt me sitting in the car left corner Mrs Peters was talking to them. I knew who they were because they were just the same as Mrs Peters described  them to me ,a woman with platinum blond hair who looked to be in her twenties , a man with light brown hair who looked to be the same age as his wife, and a boy that had dirty blond hair that looked like a two year older.they all had blue eyes except for the baby who had a blue eye and one green eye. They're so pretty,  I thought to myself " earth to Rebel earth to Rebel! " said Amiee " oh sorry " I said  my eyes wandering once again
