⚠️Manga Spoilers! (It's the Inarizaki vs Karasuno match. I literally reread this whole match multiple times for this chapter. It's the whole match. Also, there are multiple lines from the actual manga in this.)
⚠️LONG CHAPTER (4,000+ words)Inarizaki stood ready. They were in their black uniforms, forcing Karasuno into their orange ones. They were doing hit lines while Karasuno was eyeing them.
Osamu hit the ball that was set to him by Atsumu.
"Even if you take down Miya Atsumu, his twin Osamu will be right there to pick up the slack."
He saw that the orange haired middle blocker that (Y/N) had spoke of stare at him in shock. He turned back and went back to into the line.
"The strongest twins in the high school volleyball world, the Miya Brothers."
Inarizaki was serving first. (Y/N) gave Osamu a quick hug before he went on court, Atsumu opened his arms for one but he got a playful punch instead.
Atsumu had the first serve. It was dead silent save for the couple of fangirls that had cheered. He threw the ball up and hit it, it painted the line.
The Inarizaki lineup all had a look on their face. Atsumu looked up at the fangirls who had cheered, "Don't interrupt me when I'm serving, you noisy pigs."
(Y/N) shot the girls an apologetic smile. She didn't know if they saw it.
Atsumu served again, this time it was completely silent. His toss was too high, he hit it out.
"Damn it!"
Azumane Asahi was Karasuno's first server. He had a powerful serve from what (Y/N) had seen. Suddenly, the Inarizaki crowd started making noise.
(Y/N) thought it was rude to do so, but her thoughts didn't matter to them.
Karasuno's players and staff stared.
"They remain silent for their own team's serves, so the server can focus and then they heckle and agitate the opponents during their serve. They really do go the extra mile for this." Karasuno's Coach Ukai spoke.Azumane served it. The ball got caught it the net.
"The two schools have already begun jostling over their dominance of the flow of the game through their strong serves."
"Well, now Habuka-San, for this current match right now I suppose we should all be keeping a close eye on the player who is widely talked about as the number one setter, Inarizaki's Miya Atsumu?"
"Yes, that is correct. Additionally, for this match, I also wish to pay particularly close attention to Karasuno's setter. Karasuno High School's Kageyama Tobio also qualified as a youth team representative and is quite the promising young player. He didn't really stand out during his middle school tenure. However, I think he is definitely a player who's stock has been steadily on the rise."
"This is truly an east-west setter showdown!"
As the commentators were talking, Inarizaki had served. The serve was up and Kageyama had set it right to his middle blocker, Hinata Shoyo. It was a great set, but the middle blocker didn't hit the ball.
"I forgot to spike it!" His hands covered his face. Kageyama yelled at him while the Inarizaki players stared.
The two Karasuno players then talked before the hame continued on. Suna of Inarizaki served. Daichi got it up, even if the serve was in a tough spot. The receive broke their formation and the last touch went to Tanaka. His hit was touched and it became a chance ball for Inarizaki.
