The Wedding Day

Under the starry night sky, a great, white marquee had been set up in the Weasley's orchard for the big day: Bill and Fleur's wedding. They had hired a group of white-robed waiters and a golden-jacketed band. In the marquee, there were rows of delicate-looking golden chairs on either side of a long, purple carpet. The poles supporting the marquee had been decorated with white and gold flowers. Fred and George had added an enormous bunch of golden balloons over the spot where Bill and Fleur would officially become husband and wife. After a while, the guests arrived. The witches' hats sported exotic flowers and bewitched butterflies while the wizards' cravats glittered with gems.

Luna Lovegood had come as well and was wearing a bright yellow dress with a large sunflower in her hair. Wearing yellow to a wedding was supposedly a good luck charm in the Lovegoods' opinion and Xenophilius Lovegood also had bright yellow clothing on as well as a strange-looking necklace with a triangular eye. Hermione arrived wearing a floaty, red-coloured dress with matching red high heels; her hair was sleek and shiny. Then came Fleur with Ginny and her sister Gabrielle as her bridesmaids. Fleur was wearing a simple white dress with black lace and drowned everyone around her with a bright, silvery glow as she walked up the aisle. Ginny and Gabrielle on the other hand, looked even prettier than usual in their golden dresses. Molly Weasley was wearing a brand-new set of amethyst coloured-robes with a matching hat.

A small, tufty-haired wizard, the same in fact from Dumbledore's funeral the previous year, started the ceremony. "Ladies and gentlemen, we are gathered here today to celebrate the union of two faithful souls. Do you, William Arthur, take Fleur Isabelle to be your wife?"

       "I do."

"And do you, Fleur Isabelle take William Arthur to be your husband?"

       "I do."

"Then, I now declare you bonded for life."

The wizard raised his wand over the heads of Bill and Fleur and sent a shower of silver stars to fall upon them. As Fred and George led a round of applause, the golden balloons burst: and out flew birds of paradise, and golden bells.

"Ladies and gentlemen, if you will now please stand up!", cried the tufty-haired wizard.

As he waved his wand, the seats rose gracefully into the air as the walls of the marquee vanished and they faced a beautiful view of the orchard and countryside. Next, a pool of gold spread from the centre of the tent to form a gleaming, dance floor. The golden-jacketed band went up to the stage and white-clothed tables appeared around the dance floor. The waiters popped up everywhere holding silver trays of pumpkin juice, Butterbeer, Firewhisky and others holding trays of tarts and sandwiches.

Not long after the dancing had begun, however, a large and silver thing had come gleaming through the canopy ceiling; it was a patronus, a lynx by the look of it. It landed in the middle of the dancers who were in mid-dance. Then, it spoke in a deep voice which was Kingsley Shacklebolts', an Auror in the Ministry of magic. "The Ministry has fallen. Scrimgeour is dead. They are coming."
