Prologue: Stella Elkina
Tapping my foot impatiently on the floor of the car I was in. blindfolded so I couldn’t run away, it’s not like I’ll remember anyway. I exhaled a sigh.
“No sighing.” A male voice said.
“Fine.” I said stubbornly. So I inhaled a sigh.
“No doing that either.” He said. So I just breathed heavily. “Could you stop being a nuisance?!”
“I can’t stop breathing, or I’ll die.” I said innocently. The car halted.
“We’re here.” He said. Great, exactly what I want. The guy grabbed me by my arm and pushed me out of the car and pulled me into the ‘destination’. Me, dumbfounded, had the nerve to look around even though I couldn’t see anything. When the door shut behind me I reached up to touch the blind fold but the man slapped my hands down so I couldn’t see. I groaned. He pushed me down on a sofa.
“Could you be a little gentle on the merchandise?” A husky male said.
“There’s no way I’m being ‘gentle’ with her, she’s a fucking annoying thing!” The man said and snatched my blindfold off. I blinked a couple of times then looked at the figures in the living room.
“Yummy.” I said licking my lips.
“She’s probably got herpes, don’t mess with her.” The guy in the car said to the other guy. I rolled my eyes.
“No, I don’t have herpes. I don’t have STD’s I checked.” I said. “Who are you?”
“I’m Rain, he’s Destry.” The ‘gentle’ guy said.
“So Destry is the one who forcefully pushed me in here huh.” I said.
“Yeah, I did, gotta problem?” Destry asked.
“As a matter of fact I do.” I said sizing him up. “You pushed me and called me a nuisance!” I said obviously offended.
“Well, you are! All I asked you to do was to shut up!” He said.
“Now, cool it Wolf boy.” I said.
“Werewolf.” He corrected.
“Nice to meet you, I’m Stella Elkina but you obviously knew that.” I said. “But just wondering, why the hell did you buy me?”
“Because you’re gonna be a use for us somehow…” Rain said.
