I look down. No wounds were found. I suddenly remembered that I didn't come here alone.
Lucas- Madeleine! Where are you!
I run through the woods to find any signs of her. Then I hear her.
Madeleine- Lucas! Are you okay? Are you hurt?
Lucas- I'm fine, are you hurt?
Madeleine- I'm good. Where did that come from.
Lucas- I am not sure but I know that is was from the forest. We need to get out of here.
Madeleine- Let's go!We run in direction of our car. As we run, another gunshot is heard from behind us. The bullet hits the tree that is next to me and the splinters goes into my face. We jump in the car.
Madeleine- Buckle up, Lucas.
She hits the gas and the car starts rolling. The window from the back seat shatters as a third bullet is shot. We are now far enough. We lost the shooter.
Madeleine- That was not a great idea.
Lucas- It was worth it.
I pull out the seringue and show her.
Madeleine- What's inside?
Lucas- I don't know yet. Let's go to our rooms so I can think this through.
A drop of blood slides down my face onto my pants. I use the cars mirror to look. The splinters from the tree were embedded in my face. I pull them out one after an other and throw them out the window. I wipe the blood with my sleeve.
Madeleine- Does it hurt?
Lucas- A bit, i didn't feel anything because of the adrenaline.
Madeleine- So... where do we go?
Lucas- I'm not sure, let's go to the hotel to rest and tomorrow, I will turn in the evidence.
Madeleine- But did you contaminate the seringue?
Lucas- I'm wearing gloves. I brought them in case I got cold.
Madeleine turn on the radio and no other words were said.Vanessa
My painting is complete. All my negative emotions have been transferred into this painting. I take a picture and send it to the potential buyer. Before sending the text, my
phone rings. I answer.Vanessa- Hello?
Lucas- Hey Vanessa! Can you come to my room? We have some things that need to be shared. Room 332D
Vanessa- I'm on my way.I knock on the door and Jacob answers. Behind him, Lucas and Madeleine are talking. They were talking about something they found at the crime scene. Why did they go there? What did they find? I have so many questions. Lucas looks at me and starts talking.
Lucas- We went to the crime scene but we were not alone. Someone else was there. We were shot at. We made it out with a seringue that was buried. We wanted to ask you guys for your opinion. What do we do?
Vanessa- We should do the obvious choice, turn it in.
Jacob- Agreed but i know this town, they will try to blame the first person they can to get it over with. Seeing you with this evidence might make them suspicious.
Lucas- I still think we should turn it in. We need all the help we can get.
Madeleine- I guess, I just want to get Yasmin back...
Lucas- We will, this is the right choice. I will turn it in tomorrow morning. Thank you for coming.Jacob and I leave the suite. Jacob puts his hand on my shoulder.
Jacob- How have you been doing?
Vanessa- Better, when I don't feel well, I transfer my emotions into my paintings. What about you?
Jacob- I'm fine, I'm worried about you. I know that you are sensitive and I want you to feel safe.
Vanessa- Thank you Jacob. Can you do me a favour? Could you come look at my painting?
Jacob- I would love to.We ended up staying together that night. I might say that I'm doing well, but I'm scared. Not only for me, but for Yasmin.

The clock strikes 7 o'clock. I put on some clothes and get going towards the police station. I put the seringue in a plastic bag that came with the stuff Madeleine purchased yesterday. The car still had a shattered window. I hope Lionel doesn't charge me for it. I park near the station and get inside. There is quite the commotion as I enter. People are moving around the place and the reception is empty. I stand patiently in front of the desk but the service never comes. I try to get the attention of a cop and he ends up seeing me.
