After all of the failed relationships that Lena had experienced, it was no surprise that people would leave her because of her last name. It's been two years since another man left her and used her for her wealth, Lena felt hopeless and decided that being not in a relationship suits her.

Everytime a potential lover comes, she sets the most lowest standard of love that the person could give to a Luthor and it always turns out to be correct.

"Y/n, it was nice to see you!" Kara pulls you into a literal bone crushing hug.

You just came back from a business trip and Kara wants to pick you up from the airport.

Alex is the next one to hug you. "Y/n!!" She greets you with joy and a kiss on the cheek.

"I thought you're not going to come?" you said to Alex and she responds with a shrug.

Kara placed your bags at the frunk of the supercar. "You're right in time for game night, Lena's going to be there." The sisters wiggles their eyebrows at you as you drive.

"Oh stop, you two" You hushed them.

After an hour of driving, you pull up at the modern looking apartment.

Game night started a while ago and Lena texted Kara that she's going to be late but promises her that she will be coming with a total of 100 dumplings to make up for it.

Winn sits beside you at the sofa. "Waiting for Lena?" He asks you with a teasing smile.

"I'm nervous, everytime Lena's around I couldn't help but like her even more." You say to Winn.

"I think she likes you back. She's always glancing at you during game night." He states as if he's sure that Lena reciprocates your feelings.

"But what if you're wrong?"

"I'm not saying it's true but you'll never know if you won't do anything about it." He stands up and leave you with your thoughts.

You and Lena met at CatCo. You were bringing Kara's lunch and couldn't find her, you tried calling her but it would lead to voicemail leaving you to explore the whole building. The doors of the elevator almost closes when a goddess prevents it from closing using her hand, she looks at you and offers you a charming smile. And right at that moment, you were in love with the woman.

You asked her if she knows Kara and she immediately smiled at the mention of her friend's name, Lena ended up guiding you to Kara's desk. Then Kara introduced that the two of you saying that Lena is her boss and you are also one of Kara's close friends. Lena starts to come into game night frequently which makes you fall deeply to the CEO.

Your thoughts are interrupted by the devil herself. You quickly help her with the dumplings and after placing them to the table, she hugs you longer than a friend should have but you couldn't care less.

"You didn't inform me that you're coming back."

"I'm sorry, Lee"

She pouts at you then turning her attention to everyone as the super friends greets her.

It was almost midnight when you found yourself outside the balcony with a drink in hand. Lena followed you and stares at the stars.

"Lee, I-" You took a deep breath in and look at her. Lena's eyes drifts off from the stars to yours.

"I couldn't stop thinking about you, Lee. I like you so much that it hurts not seeing you, even for an hour. I don't know if you feel the same but I will do my best to give you all of my love and world. I know that your previous relationships didn't work but I'm not like them, I'm different." You confess.

Lena smiles softly "They told me the exact same thing."

You look down and your heart aches at the statement. You took this answer as a hint of rejection.

"But, you're far different from them. You have broken down the love that I think I deserve and showed me so much more. The talks that we would have after game night and you driving me to my house to make sure I'm safe, the movie night that we spent before you go to your business trip, and most of all saving my life from my mother." She took your hands and kiss them.

"I promise you that I'll do those again if you'll let me."

You hold Lena close and next thing you know her lips is interlocked with yours. She kisses you with love and full of emotions. It was soft and tender as the two of you pull away with smiles on both of your faces.

The super friends watch the magic happens from afar and soon erupts into cheers as both of their dearest friends are together.

And this time Lena was incorrect about the standard. You are the only one to prove it wrong.
