This little being is the source of my agony nowadays. My mind is filled with her. Her voice. Her laughter. Everything about her pulls me to her. When I saw her come home, soaking wet covered only with that white top that hugged her like her own skin, I was mad. I could clearly see the outline of her black bra peeking through that sheer thin white material. Then I smelt someone else scent on her. The jacket she had on was not hers. I almost lost my control.

Then I hear Tessa saying she has a boy that likes her. No. It can't be. She can't be with anyone else. But-

Why am I feeling so possessive toward her? I have a mate out there. Possibly closer than I think. I want to breath in her wildflower scent once again. One more time.

Throughout the dinner, I was anxious. I was mad. But when she said that she doesn't love him, I felt a relief. But why? Then the very next day she had to go and wear that piece of clothing that barley covered anything. I could just about contain my Lycan when she bent over in front of me. I could see her. All of her. I was angry at myself for wanting her body. I reminded myself that there was someone out there for me. I cannot lead her.

Jealousy was a foreign thing for me. But not anymore. Not with her. I want to be the one she laughs with. I want to be the one that makes her smile. I want to be the one that is with her. All the time. I hold these feelings within as she ignores my presence once more. This is eating me inside. I cannot bear her ignorance anymore. I want to be a part of her life. I want to hold her tight once more.

The mere thought of her in my arms brings back the memory from that day. I loved the feel of her in my arms. The faint scent of woods lingers around her. And I love it. Just as much. Why?

"Lucas, talk to her." We are all sitting in the dining table. She's not here. Again. "Why would I need to do that?" I casually cut the steak on my plate. "You know why." Tessa counteracts. "No. I don't Tessa. And by the way, I'm adding extra security around you." She was about to complain. "It's either that or I tell my father and yours. I'm sure, he would be happy to hear you coming back home."

She looks at Elias for help. But his looks say that he completely agrees with me. She sighs. "Whatever. I don't care about that. Anyways, back to you."

"You both are so childish." She finally shouts. "There's clearly something going on between you two. Can't you two just sit down and talk about it? I cannot bear to see her like this anymore. It's all fake. Her laugher. Her smile. It doesn't reach her eyes anymore. She's hiding behind that smile, Lucas." I look up to her eyes from across the table. "And you know it." She whispers.

The next day came and she was still ignoring me. I could not bear to see her with those boys anymore. So, I decided to pick her from work. I don't know when and how we ended up talking about my mate but that was not what I wanted to talk about. The silence afterwards was painful. Unbearable. I knew she was sad, although she said she was tired.

Seeing as she made no move, I picked her up and walked into the house. "Is she okay?" Aya asks from the sofa, standing up, upon seeing us. I don't reply and just take her to her room. I know she's not sleeping but she refuses to let me see her enchanting eyes, so green that it put the woods to shame. When I know that she will not open her eyes, I turn back and leave her room, closing the door shut.

"What happened now?" Tessa is onto me nowadays. "She said she's tired, so I put her to bed." She raises a brow as she looks at me. I give her a glare of my own.

"I'll ride with these two, tomorrow morning. We'll leave early." Then she looks at Elias and Aya, behind her who both nods their head in agreement. "Give her a lift, will you?" She turns around and leaves. And the two bids their goodnights and leaves me by myself.
