"mom, dad, i'm going out!" nala called as she scrambled to tie her shoes. she wanted out of the house as soon as possible so her parents and aunt would have no time to protest.
"but we just got here and you still have to unpack all your-"
"love you all! see you in a few hours." and with that, she slung her purse over her shoulder and headed out the door.

"hey! just because my brain literally exploded doesn't mean i was finished!" nala pointed a finger at the now empty glass in anger.
"you snooze you lose," avani shrugged, laughing at the shocked expression on nala's face. "now are we going to see charli or not?"
