I took a step out of my mother's car taking in a deep breathe of the new area's air. I helped my mother carry our luggage out of the boot of the car walking towards the front of the complex apartment building, opening the door we were greeted by a man fixing the camera's for something my mother (being the outgoing and confident one) kindly talked to the man explaining we were new to the area and building. "Y/N please take your things to our door" my mother smiled giving me a key with the number 405. I nodded taking my things up the stairs since the man said the elevator was broken.

I was just about there towards my door until a tall man stopped me. I looked up confused and angry "whoa easy there I'm here to help kid" he said backing up playfully picking up my bags with me, obviously I was still cautious about this guy but let him help me "so your door is 405?" He asked. I nodded "oh by the way I'm Mike, also a police officer" knowing that made me kind of bad thinking he was some sort of pedo or something. "Right...Y/N" I answered opening my door letting him in.

We finished putting my bags into the apartment,as he stepped out if the small enclosed door he turned around to me "if you ever need help Y/N I'm down the hall" he pointed towards the end of the hallway smiling. I nodded noticing my mother "erm..hello?" She stared at the man "right I'm Mike Norris your daughter needed help with the bags so I decided to hop in" he laughed. I didn't need help I thought "oh thank you!" My mother took his hand shaking it "I'm Erika Ashwoods" smiling she let go of him "right Y/N go find a room you want alright?" I nodded rolling my eyes tucking my hands into my hoodie pockets walking past the kitchen towards the closest room. "Bathroom.." I sighed. I walked to another room "storage closet!" I stomped. I finally pushed open a door that led into a not so small or big bedroom. "This looks....comfy?" I asked myself shrugging. "Y/n!" I heard my mom yell from the living room. I lifted my black hood walking towards her asking her what she wants "have you found a room that you like?" "Yeah it's alright.. " I faintly smiled "alright you've got school in two days" I sighed "already?! Mom why!" I said tiredly she gave me serious looks telling me I needed to make "NeW fRiEnDs" because we'll be living here from now on I told her fine and walked to my room closing the door placing my head phones in my phone then placing them in my ears listening to music whole scrolling throughout my apps to see what I could go on.

"Y/n!" After 20 minutes my mum yelled at me again "Yes!" I shouted from my room "come here please!" I got up walking out my door seeing my mum pat the couch. I plopped down next to her crossing my arms waiting for her to say something. She put on the TV that was advertising these weird dolls with ginger hair "do you want one?" She joked knowing I hate dolls "ugh" I said getting up hearing her slightly laugh "do we have food" I huffed "yeah but I'm going to go shopping tomorrow it's Saturday aswell so you can make new friends" she begged "whatever.." I whispered opening our fridge grabbing some f/d.

~night time~

I yawned taking the last sip of my drink throwing it into the trash in the kitchen from where I was standing. I sighed noticing my mom texting her boyfriend happily asking if he wanted to come over while I was at school of course he had to said yes I growled in my imagination "hey bunny ( your mother calls you that or add your own nickname if you want teehee~ )
I looked at her faking a smile " Gorge is comi-" I cut her off angrily "Gorge is coming while I'm at school yeah, yeah I know" I snapped "why can't you just give him a chance!" She pleaded "because I have my reasons" I walked away "I'm going sleep!" I waved back " Y/n Wai-" I slammed my door walking over to my bed face planting onto it before getting changed into my f/c pj's they were a top with shorts. I slid under my sheets closing my eyes already hating this place "friends" I huffed quietly "who needs em' " I closed my eyes letting out a relieved sigh I was in able to sleep after the long journey from 20000 miles just to get here!.

~morning~

I woke up to the sound of birds singing and chirping in tune with one another while I was still yawning my ass off walking to get changed into some denim pants with a f/c(s) hoodie lifting it over my head grabbing my phone and headphones. "Morning honey" my mom kissed me on my forehead with a warm hug squeezing me "morning" I replied stuffing my face with toast. "Alright let me do the dishes" she took my plate as I walked towards the bathroom grabbing my blue toothbrush placing on Colgate toothpaste bringing it closer to my teeth.

I finished brushing and spat out the left over mint tasting paste wiping my mouth cleaning away the foam on the side of it. I walked out the bathroom noticing a non-forgettable face "well morning to you Y/n." I looked at mom furious "honey Gorge came early today!" She smiled at me widening her eyes wanting me to not say anything rational to him "why'd you come so early for.." I sneered "I missed your beautiful mother" he kissed her lips EW seriously infront of me?!. I thought angrily. "I'm going out" I said opening the door "good" he replied smirking ughhh I rolled my eyes at the thought of him.
