Part 6 The Man

"Oh!! I am Fanto!" He said smiling we were walking down the ally way. "What're you guys even doing here?" Fanto said "we just escaped from the wretched foster care" I said as Fanto nodded. "Welp this is the place to get up!" Fanto said looking up a rusty staircase that goes up the building into doors. He pointed to the one at the top "That's my place" he mentioned. We began climbing up the stair case, we reached new heights each and every step. When we finally got to the top he said "Let me just—" he cut himself off grabbing a small key from his pocket and inserting it into the key slot. We heard a click then he opened the door. It was a lot nicer then I thought I was going to be!! "Go ahead and sit on the couch I'll order us some pizza" he said We all walked in as the five of us sat on the couch. Kyle then whispered to me not so well I may add "what's pizza?" May I remind you that we never really had the best of foods but at least it was something. The man looked at him. "You'll find out!" He said as he ordered we looked around the place whilst sitting on the couch. A few minutes later he finished the phone call. Blaze then said "What brings you to the city anyways?... I'm asking because you don't look like a 'city guy'"  Delilah hit his arm lightly to make him be quiet "Don't be rude, Blaze!" She whispered. Fanto look at us yet again "No, no it's quite alright. I'm here for business we're going to own another shop here then I'm going back to where my family is.." we all nodded but Kyle said "Who is in your family?" Fanto was staring at him for about five seconds before he answered. "My daughter and my son.." Kyle looked confused "But don't they have a mommy?" He asked sadly Fanto shook his head "She died of cancer when my daughter was born.." he looked sad. "They should be grateful to have a father like you!" Zoey chimed in. Fanto smiled a bit "Thank you." She nodded then we heard a knock at the door. "Be back in a second." Fanto walked to the door and said "Well thank you!" Then I heard the pizza guy say "Yeah man no probs!.. Thanks for the tip dude!" Then I heard the door close.

Kyle yawned while sitting on the couch. Fanto looked at him and said "I'll buy you guys new clothes tomorrow and for now I'll show you to your rooms." He stood up and walked to the hallway as we followed him he pointed to one room with two beds. "Sorry guys this is what I've got for the guest room" Fanto said sounding bummed "It's quite alright we will make do" Delilah said and smiled. Fanto smiled "I'll be over in this room if you need me!" He walked to his room. We walked inside the room "Kyle that bed." I said pointing to the smaller bed. "Zoey and Delilah do you mind sharing in that one?" I said pointing to the big Queen sized bed "Nah we don't mind" they said sitting down on the bed. "What about us?" Blaze said confused. "We will have to make a sacrifice sleeping on the floor" Blaze sighed and sat down. Me, Blaze, Kyle, Delilah, and Zoey talked for about thirty minutes then Kyle dozed off. Delilah fell asleep about twenty minutes after Kyle. Then Zoey did about forty minutes after Delilah then it was just me and Blaze. Eventually at around 12:50 we got tired and went to bed. Finally. "Good night" Blaze said. "Night" I said. Then it was darkness once again.
