ch. 2: PRESENTS

2 years later...

"MOONSUN UNNIEEEEEEEEE!!!!"

Sun almost tripped down the stairs as she ran with all of her speed.

A loud shrill squal of a scream could be heard across the dorm in the early morning, waking not all, but most of the previously sleeping people, but the scream was for Moonsun specifically.

All of the lamps in the house were still off, just the dim light of the morning peeking through the cracked curtains.

Standing outside of the doorway of her bedroom stood a small cat girl with light brown hair that was slightly frizzed due to just waking, her ears and tail pure white.

"Nami what-"
Before Sun could finish asking her housemate what the problem was, she spotted it.

Inches from her feet on the ground lied a motionless squirrel, likely dead.

"I ummmmm, where did this come from?" Was all the older could manage ask the smaller cat girl.

"It was just at my bedroom doorstep! I just woke up, I didn't do it!"

"I believe you didn't do it Nami, I'm just wondering how it would've even gotten in here." Moonsun pondered.

"Well can someone get it out?! I can barely stand to look at it." Poor Nami's bottom lip quivered as she took another small peek back down at the squirrel.

It wasn't like the squirrel was maimed or torn to shreds, it looked actually as if it was killed peacefully, no blood or wound marks that Sun could see from afar.

"I've got it Nami." Sun waved the younger back into her room before bending down to pick up the dead creature with her fingers gently.

Once she picked it up, Sun finally saw the bite marks across it's neck and scruff. It looks as if that's how it was killed, but someone must have taken the time to clean the blood off of it before placing it down on Nami's bedroom doorstep.

This...is actually something that isn't new to Sun surprisingly.

Just then, the same bedroom door opened yet again, only this time a different cat girl came out, one with red hair and soft gray ears, her tail all white except for the gray tip.

"Mia, I wouldn't look if I were you." Sun warned Nami's roommate, knowing she'd get spooked by the dead squirrel too.

"aH I know! I was warned by Nami! I just wanna go to the kitchen to eat breakfast." Mia blocked her eyes with hard hand as she quickly rushed out of the hallway into the kitchen.

"Where did that come from?!" Questioned a voice from behind Sun.

She turned to see her fox girl housemate, Yubin, looking over her shoulder at what lies in her hands.

"I think I have an idea about where, or should I say who, it came from." Replied the older.

Yubin gave her leader a weird look as if wondering what she meant, but just shrugged and made her way to the kitchen for breakfast, a sleepy panther girl following out of their shared room behind her in the same direction.
