Leaves.
The first thing I saw and the last thing I'd seen.
I could see the earth before I felt it with the breeze.
I saw leaves falling as the clouds changed into roaring machines.
They carried what was insight and pulled from the trees.
^.^
Rain.
It came suddenly, and when it came...it came pouring.
Hard and all at once.
It lasted all of ten minutes till the last thing you could hear was thunder and the decreasing sound of what was.

Lightning warning they said.
But no one was ready when light actually struck.
