You sit in your house watching TV and suddenly your phone goes off. You pick it up and look at it. You see your boss calling. What the-? You think and answer the call.

"Hello." You said.

"Hello (y/n). I have some news to break to you." Your boss says and he sounds a bit sad.

"What is the news?" You ask.

Your boss cleared his throat, "Our company is low on finances and we don't have enough to pay all our current workers so you're one of the ones getting laid off."

Your breath hitches in your throat and you begin to cough due to the air clogging up your esophagus.

"Are you okay (y/n)?" Your boss asks in a worried voice.

You hang up, not wanting to talk anymore. How am I going to pay for my brother's surgery then? You began crying.
Your little brother walks to you and sits beside you.

"What is wrong big sis?" He asked.

"Nothing for you to worry about (b/n=brother's name)." You smile sadly at him.

"Okay..." he said and went back to his room. You continued crying.

1 month later

You have interviewd for thousands of jobs but none of them accepted you. You lost much sleep due to you always worrying about your brother and his health.
You were currently sitting in the hospital waiting room because your brother had collapsed earlier. The doctor came out and approached you.

"Are you (b/n)'s guardian?" The doctor asked.

"Yes! How is he?" You ask, tears streaming down your face.

"Well, I'm afraid he is going to need surgery as soon as possible, he won't make it much longer without surgery." The doctor said, fixing his glasses.

"How much time? How much is his surgery?" You asked, eagar to know.

"He has about 3 months left without surgery. And the surgery is $3,456." The doctor says causing you to break down into tears, "I'm sorry miss." The doctor says sadly and walks away.

You run out of the hospital and sit in your car, sobbing loudly. Suddenly, your phone rings and you look to see an unknown number. You answer it, hoping it'll be a job acceptance call.

"Hello. Are you Ms. (L/n)?" An unfamiliar male voice asks.

"Yes it is." You say, keeping your voice steady.

"This is your interviewer for the security guard position at the prison. I have called you to say that you were accepted and we want you to come in any time today so you can receive your uniform." He explained.

"Really?!" You were suddenly excited.

"Yes." He responded.

"Okay! I'll be there soon!" You say and hang up and start your car and drive to the prison.

A few minutes later

You arrive at the prison and park your car then turn it off then head inside the prison, going through a metal detector then you walk to the front desk.

"Hey. I'm (y/n) (l/n). I just got accepted as the new security guard and I am here to receive my uniform." You explain and the person at the front desk and nod their head.

"Follow me." They say and nod and follow them into the actual the prison.

(A/N: FYI, you are the second female worker in an all male prison)

All the male inmates gazes follow you as you walk past all their cells but you catch ones eyes the most but he just stares at you.
You are led to an office and enter and see the prison's warden at his desk.

"You must be (y/n) (l/n)? Am I correct?" The warden asks.

"Yes sir." You nod.

"Please take a seat." The warden smiles an exhausted smile.

"Yes sir." You say and take a seat.

The warden hands you your uniform and starts to go over the prison's expectations and giving warnings about what goes on in the prison.
An hour later, he finishes. You say goodbye to him and leave and you are guided out of the prison with your uniform in hand. You exit the prison and head to your car and get in.

Next day (I'm lazy)

You wake up earlier since it was your first day at work and you had to make yourself some breakfast.
Once you finished breakfast, you headed to the prison and entered the prison, going through the metal detector. You saw the warden standing there with a smile. You smile at him and approach him.

"What is my first job sir?" You ask.

"You will be escorting inmate 231 to the chow hall for breakfast." The warden explained.

"Who is inmate 231?" You ask, confused.

"I'll take you to him. Follow me." The warden said and you nodded and followed him.
He leads you to a cell that held Inmate 231 and stopped in front of it.

"Here is Inmate 231. His real name is Jackson Richards, but call him Inmate 231." The warden says and hands you the key to Jackson's cell.

Wow. I have the hotty new security guard as my escort. How lucky am I? Jackson thinks as you unlock his cell and quickly put handcuffs on his wrists.
You lead him down the hallway and out of the cell building he was in and to the chow hall.

"Hey hotstuff~" Jackson smiles as you lead him to the chow hall.

Short Flashback

"Some of the guys here are complete perverts with our woman workers so you might want to keep your guard up." The warden warns.

"Okay. I will." You nod your head.

End of the short flashback

"You're one of the perverts I was warned about. Aren't you?" You ask bluntly.

"So what if I am? I get a super rare chance to see female worker." He smirked.

"I am armed, so don't even think of making a move on me because you won't succeed." You say.

"Playing hardball?" Jackson asked, raising an eyebrow at you.

"No. Just trying to save my tail from people like you." You roll your eyes and arrive at the male and arrive at the chow hall then uncuff him when you enter the chow hall. He heads to a table and starts eating his meal. You stand by the chow hall entrance, watching to make sure no one tries to run.
