the old man and the clock

Every night he looks at the clock,

tick..tick...tick it goes with no knowing of how loud it is,

he sits in a tall rocking chair by the window

thinking about so many times

he has experienced.

every minute, every hour he awaits for the time that he wants with

the people that he loves.

how sad he feels on the holidays that he will

never get to see his wife because of her passing the

year before, but he never forgets the smile

she always had on her face

when she was with the people that she loved,

how great-full he is to spend the seasons

with his kids and grand-children.

"time is short and its time to spend time with

loved ones" he says.

he keeps a smile on his face while looking at all the

things that do mater in life,

family, friends, spouses, and grand-children.
