"Thank y-" I had a good look at his face, and it was very clearly him, it was Adrien.
"Mari? Is that you?" He looked at me with a look I'd never seen from him before. I quickly put my sunglasses on and pulled him to an empty corner of the store and took off my glasses.
"It's you! Finally," Adrien grabbed both sides of my face and our faces collided. I could barely process what happened, when I finally realized, I pushed him off of me.
"Adrien, what are you doing? I have a boyfriend! You can't just go around kissing people!" I whispered yelled, making sure I didn't draw attention to us. What was he thinking, kissing me like that? He had his chance, but I was Chat Noir's now. Although, something seemed oddly familiar about the kiss. I couldn't quite place my finger on it.
"I'm so sorry," Adrien's head was down, clearly he was conflicted about something. "I shouldn't have done that. I uh, I just can't believe you're here. Why are you here?"
"Well, um, you shouldn't know that I'm here. Only one other person knows where I am. Why are you here?"
"Well we're currently on break, so me, Nino, and Alya are here on vacation." He still had his head down, his hair slightly falling over his eyes.
"Wait," I whispered, "that means Chat Noir is all alone in Paris. I need to call him." I was almost certain I was being quiet enough.
"He's not there either." Adrien said knowingly.
"What?! So Paris is left alone? Adrien, I have to go, but you can't tell anyone I'm here. I'll call you, I promise. I still have your number. I'll explain it then." I was freaking out, I needed to contact Chat immediately.
I ran up to one of the cashiers, paid for the clothes, and told them to send them to the castle. Quickly I walked back to the alley, transformed and found a deserted building. There, I opened my yo-yo and clicked the button to call Chat, hopefully he would pick up.
"Come on Chat, where are you?" I said anxiously, I hadn't called him since before I left. We were perfectly fine just sending each other letters, but if he wasn't in Paris this was urgent.
"M'lady, why are you calling me? Are you okay?"
"Where are you? I just heard that you aren't in Paris, and neither are Nino and Alya. What's going on?"
"You're right, I'm not in Paris, but maybe I can show you where I am." He moved slightly and I saw the familiar outline of my palace. Wait, my palace, Chat is here? And he didn't tell me he was coming?
"M'lady-" I cut him off with a swift hand movement.
"Stay where you are, idiot. I'm coming to you." I made sure my tone was commanding, so he would know I was serious. I hung up without saying a thing. Judging by what I saw behind him, I knew the general location of where he was.
As I traveled to Chat, all I could think about was actually seeing him in person, seeing my boyfriend in person. This felt like a dream, I get to actually be with Chat.
I could see him as I made one last leap over a building, landing lightly on the roof. As soon as my feet touched down Chat Noir ran to me, and picked me up and spun around. Still holding me up in his arms, he kissed me sweetly and passionately. Any anger I had towards him melted away when I was in his arms.
"I love you, Marinette."
"I love you too, Chat." Of course we had said it before in our letters, but it was completely different hearing each other say it.
"Well, we meet again. I knew we would." The last time we had seen each other he left after saying 'Until we meet again', and we ended every letter like that. It gave us hope that we could finally be together, and here we were. In each other's embrace again.
