CHAPTER ONEAUBREY POV
Monday mornings are one of the worst days and times of my life. As for me Monday is the day I go to NYU to start the 2nd chapter of my life
Mum: Aubrey! I heard my mum call my name.
"Yes mum".
Mum: Aub where are you, its past 4pm.
I hear footsteps as my mum talks and her voice is getting louder. My bathroom opens and I see my mum standing by the door.
"Mum I'm in the shower. I'm almost done"
Mum: I can see that.
"Mum I'm not a kid anymore, I'm seventeen. Please stop looking at me you are making me shy.
Mum: At your age you are still shy. Anyways get ready your best friend Rose called and it's your ringtone that made me come to your room, she said that she reached NYU an hour ago and she is looking for you.
"Okay what did you tell her"?
Mum: I told her that you are getting ready to go in 30 minutes.
"Okay I'm already done taking a shower and I want to get ready now"
Mum: Okay Aub, I will give you privacy to get ready so hurry up in there. When you're done dressing up you will see your lunch at the kitchen counter. I will just take your suitcases to the trunk.
"Okay mum and also thanks".
Mum: My pleasure dear.
After my mum left my bedroom, I went to my dressing room. I wore a white turtle neck long sleeve, with a black skirt and black boots. I put on a little mascara, brushed my eyebrows and put on some lip gloss. I braided both sides of my hair and put it up in a ponytail. After that I went downstairs to the kitchen and ate my lunch.
Mum: Aub your suitcases are already in the trunk, are you ready to go.
"Yes mum I'm ready to go. I'm so emotional right now. I'm already missing everything and everyone even though I haven't left yet.
Mum: Aub I will miss you a lot. You are so grown up now and everything, like the third part of your life is about to start and it's just so -.
My mum hugged and at this point my mum started crying and I couldn't help the tears that was about to burst. She advised me and we started walking towards the car. She started the car and drove out from the garage; I took one last glance at the house as we left.
