Sienna's Pov;
I hopped off the plane at L.A.X with a dream and a cardigan. Plot twist: no, I hopped off Air Canada with a frigging jet lag and bags of luggage at L.A.X all the way from Ontario because Dad got a promotion.
After arriving to our new house, I enter it carefully not trying to break anything with Mum and Luke (my older brother,) I am already impressed by Dad's decorating skills, I mean the new house looks like home already!
After reviewing the house and choosing my room, I proceed to decorate as well as unpacking my belongings..
By the time I finish organising my room, the sun is sinking like the titanic - I have only heard stories about how beautiful the sunset is in Los Angeles but now I am experiencing it. I slowly step outside into my balcony and the warm air carresses my face as my eyes scan the sight of the tremendous colours scattered all over the periwinkle sky.
After capturing the sky with my camera, my eyes meet a pair of hazel eyes from the window across my balcony. Breaking eye contact rapidly, I frantically run back inside my room. Damn I curse at what I had just done. Gosh why am I such a socially awkward potato.
"Sienna, we ordered pizza for dinner!" shouts my Mother, this results in me running downstairs like a bolt of lightning.
"Sweetheart, did you finish decorating your room?" asks Dad.
"Yup!" I respond whilst Luke consumes his pizza like a hungry Viking man who hasn't eaten in decades.
"You both start school tomorrow so go to bed early munchkins, oh and the Maliks live next door, maybe they can help you both?" Mum suggests.
I remember my encounter with the boy who has hazel eyes, I simply forced a smile at her before disappearing into my room. After doing my "night-time routine" I fall asleep blissfully.
// um, so this was my first chapter & it really isn't the best part of the book because i suck at writing first chapters! i'm sorry if this wasn't that interesting but it took forever to write so um yeah. also, thank you so so much for all the support i've got for writing this, i mean i had 39 reads before publishing the first chapter! i appreciate you all and once again thank you, ily! :) x
