"w-what is it?" i asked, putting my hands at the back. i looked at everything except his eyes. the board, his shoes, my shoes, the chairs, eunhee's chair tag, everything. just not his eyes.
"why?" he nonchalantly asked while looking at me intently, still the same expression on his face.
"what why?" i asked back.
"don't act like you don't know what im talking about, yoon hyerin." he snaps which made me scoff.
"if you're not gonna tell me what this is about then what's the point in staying?" i said with a sarcastic tone and pat him in his arms, turning my back on him but he walked and stopped in front of me. "ah, what is it?" i asked once again, getting irritated.
"why are you avoiding me?" he said lowly, you can sense the anger slowly rising in him.
"what do you mean? me? avoiding? who? you?" you nervously chuckled and avoided his gaze once again. "when?" i scoffed and tried walking but dohyun pulls me back.
"are you kidding me?" he smirked, a scary one. "i was calling you the whole week," he said and showed me his phone log with a blank face.
"ah.. my phone broke, so it was down," i smiled at him, proud of my excuse. it occurred to me that at some point, this conversation would happen so i planned excuses ahead of time.
"really? why was it ringing then?" he squinted his eyes and turned his head sidewards, aware that i was only making up excuses.
"was it?" i chuckled once again anxiously.
"everyday this week i came by your house, your mom said you're always either sleeping or in the bathroom," he smirks.
"were you? mom didn't say anything," i puffed air, "you know, its getting hot nowadays, i'd rather be in the bathroom showering or sleeping to make the heat go away," i even moved my arms like it was a wave through the window, and my face suddenly frowned.
"oh.. it's winter though?" he looked at me with unamused eyes, not buying my excuses.
"yeah.." i muttered. "i guessed." i frowned once again.
"then why are you avoiding me at school then?" he smiles, still entertaining himself.
"you know, we're kinda busy because of homeworks, projects," i continued on, unaware of the fact that he knew i was only lying because despite of the words coming out of my mouth, my eyes told everything to him.
"then why is it that whenever i call you or whatever, you call on eunhee or dongho, even bohyun?" he smiles, leaning his face closer to mine.
"do i?" i shortly said, and he only noddedn. i looked down, biting my lips in nervousness.
"hyerin-ah," he starts but i cut him off.
"is that all?" i smiled at him and went to my seat to get my bag. "let's go then," i pat his arms and turned my back on him but once again, he only pulled me back to be stuck in his hug. "dohyun-ah, please let go." i unconsciously held my breath back, not being able to move with the sudden closeness.
"why would i?" he leans much closer and i could feel myself getting red, with the reason i could barely breathe and because i could feel his breath in my face which gave me chills. "talk and i'll let go."
"no, dohyun. let go first," i pleaded. "i can't.. breathe." he just looked at me while i hold my breath back, unwilling to give up. "fine, but let go first and i'll talk," i said with the smallest voice. he lets go of me and i finally got to breathe. i hit my chest a few times first before looking straight at him.
