2 days later Lana and the couple are in the living room sitting on the couch, Lana starts to trust Harry and Ginny more, yet she isn't really showing it. Lana is allowed to sleep in between Harry and Ginny in their bed, since she has a lot of trouble with nightmares, almost every night she has at least one. The blond little girl is slowly getting her strength, she's eating quite well and the same for drinking.
"How are you feeling", Ginny asks Lana. Lana smiles softly "Getting better, the only thing they fed me were dry slices of bread... if I even got food". "And drinks?", Harry asks. Lana shakes her head and speaks in a sad tone "I had to drink from the fountain in the park". "That's terrible", Ginny says, shocked at how they treated Lana, even though she shouldn't be surprised after all they heard. "Lana?", Harry says with a rather serious undertone, as he looks at her. "Yes?", Lana says expecting he'll be asking something about what they did to her. Harry looks rather worried and asks "What did they do to the children they got?". Lana shivers at the memories, knowing full well what they were doing was illegal, slowly getting lost in the painful memories as tears roll down her cheeks.
"Lana?", Ginny asks with a soft voice. Lana doesn't hear her, she keeps thinking about all the kids she saw, most of them were young, around her age, and in tears. Their parents just got killed and they were with the murderers, cold blooded killers who don't care about the feelings of anyone except their own, at least it looked that way to her. All the kids were scared for their life, and so was she, always in fear. Many of the kids were screaming for their parents and trying to get out, as punishment the children got beaten up, at times even knocked out. They even shot ones who got out, almost always a one hit kill.
Lana is completely lost in her thought while tears stream down her face. Ginny kisses Lana's head "Lana it's okay". Lana gets back to reality with her thoughts and wipes her tears. Harry gives Lana a tissue "Here". Lana takes it and blows her nose. "Would you maybe like a hot bath Lana?", Ginny asks. Lana looks at Ginny, almost shocked, but her face turns to a smile and she nods. Ginny gets up and offers Lana her hand "Come on". Lana quickly takes it. Ginny walks with Lana to the bathroom upstairs, which is next to their bedroom.
Ginny looks at Lana "How long has it been that you got clean?". Lana sighs "I honestly don't know... Were you okay with me being dirty and being with you?". "We first wanted you to be comfortable being with us, and you getting your strength", Ginny says with a smile. Lana looks at herself "I have bruises, cuts, scars...". Ginny puts her hand comfortingly on Lana's shoulder "Don't worry about it, we'll get you healed". "Are you staying here while I'm having my bath?", Lana asks. "Only if you want me to", Ginny says with a soft smile. Lana nods "Please do, I don't want to be alone". Ginny smiles and start to fill up the bath, adds some bathbubbles for Lana and a rubber duck, gets a smile on her face as she remembers Harry telling her about the first question her dad ever asked him 'Tell me Harry, what exactly is the function of a rubber duck' She doesn't remember if he got an answer, but it's funny nonetheless.
"Lana can you put your hand in the water to check if it's hot enough", Ginny asks Lana. Lana puts her hand in the water "Just a bit hotter", she says as she takes her hand out and dries it off with a towel. Ginny adjust the temperature of the water "I can use magic to keep the water the same temperature for a longer time". "That's cool, can you do that for my bath?", Lana asks with a smile. Ginny giggles "That was my next question, of course I can". Lana smiles and takes her clothes off to reveal many bruises, scars and several cuts.
"May I touch them", asks Ginny. Lana shakes her head "Please don't... they used to do that too... but more of a punch or slap...". "Okay, I won't, I understand", Ginny says "Come on, the bath is almost done, you can get in". Lana slowly steps into the bath and sits down. "How is it?", Ginny asks. "It's nice", Lana says as she slowly lays down. Ginny smiles and sits on the edge or the tub as she turns the water off.
"They sold them", Lana says out of nowhere. "Huh?", Ginny replies, not having heard what Lana said. "The guys... they sold the kids...", Lana says carefully. Ginny is shocked, this is worse than she expected "Sold? You mean human trafficking?". Lana nods "Sold them to the highest bidder...", she says shakingly. Ginny swallows and says still in shock "And... What happens after with them...?". "I don't know... I think used as a slave... or something...", Lana says as she looks down, feeling guilty about what she did.
Ginny strokes Lana's hair "Didn't see them again?". "Never...", Lana says as she shakes her head. "You didn't want to tell Harry? Is that why you didn't answer?", Ginny asks. Lana shakes her head "I was lost in my memories... my memories of pain...", she says as she starts to think about it again. Ginny kisses Lana's head "Don't think about it, you're safe now and the others will be saved too". Lana nods slowly, still doubtful how they think that could happen, they're much stronger than just that one team.
"Try to relax Lana", Ginny says in a soft voice "Do you have good memories to talk about? Maybe talk about your mummy? How was she?". Lana smiles a little "She was amazing". "Oh really?", Ginny says with a smile. "Yes", Lana says with a nod "She was kind, caring, loving and just the perfect mummy". Ginny smiles and thinks for a bit, then asks "What about your dad?". Lana sighs, knowing this question would come "I don't know... he wasn't home much... and when he was he mainly ignored me and mummy...". "Do you know if he went looking for you", Ginny asks. Lana shakes her head "I doubt it... I don't think he really cared about me or mummy...". Ginny asks carefully "Would you've liked to get more attention from him?". Lana just shrugs and tries to relax in the bath.
