Draco Malfoy, Puppies, and a Happy Ending

Original Prompt: Harry Potter having to rescue Draco Malfoy from a pack of kittens/puppies.

My Story:

It was a beautiful day, two years after graduating from Hogwarts, when a pair of lovers, Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy, decided to adopt a cute pet. The two boys left for the pet adoption center. They arrived at the pet adoption center and walked inside. The lady behind the front desk greeted them with a welcoming smile.

The woman said, "Hello there gentlemen, how may I be of service?"

"Hello ma'am. We are looking to adopt a puppy," Harry said, politely.

"Okay, follow me if you will. I will put some puppies inside a gated-off room and you guys can go inside and interact with them. Is there a specific gender you are looking for?"

"Okay ma'am, and we have not really decided on a gender," Draco answered, as both he and Harry entered the gated room and sat down on the floor.

"Well then, I will be right back with the puppies," the woman replied.

"Hey Harry.." Draco started, "I am really excited to adopt a cute puppy."

"I am too," Harry replied.

When the lady came back, she had about 15 puppies with her, along with a few other employees, to help bring the puppies into the gated room. When the puppies were put down on the floor, all 15 of them went straight to Draco. Draco was knocked on to his back and all 15 puppies were climbing all over him. A laughing Draco is a sight that Harry adored very much.

"Harry! Help! I am drowning in puppies." Draco said laughing.

"Have you found one that you liked, Draco?" Harry asked.

Harry and Draco spent almost an hour to find the top two puppies that they liked. The girl was all black with white spots all over her and the boy looked almost exactly the same as the girl but had fewer white spots. While they were searching, they also talked about the top two names they had for the puppy. One for a boy and one for a girl. The girl name they had was Stella and the boy name they had Midnight. They finally decided on the girl.

"Hey Draco, I am going to go get Stella her collar and tag while you fill out the adoption paperwork. I'll be back," Harry said to Draco.

"Okay Harry, I will be waiting here with Stella," Draco replied.

Harry left to get the collar and dog tag. Harry found a nice, pale pink collar and a cute tiara collar where he put Stella's name on the front and on the back there was something cute written on it. Harry went back to get Draco and Stella. The woman who brought the puppies to them offered to clean up Stella a bit. The boys accepted but before she left, Harry gave her the collar and name tag, while fidgeting with a small box in his pocket. When she saw the back of it, she mentally awed and knew what was going to happen when she brought Stella back to them.

When she came back with Stella, she said, "Stella is ready to go home. She has a very cute name tag."

As Draco took Stella in his arms, he looked at the tag and saw, 'Stella' on the front and 'If found, please return to Draco and Harry Malfoy-Potter.' on the back. He decides to ask Harry what was meant by 'Draco and Harry Malfoy-Potter'. He turned around not yet noticing Harry.

"Harry, what does this mea-," he started, but stopped after noticing Harry down on one knee with a box in his hand.

"Draco, I love you. I always have and always will forever . . . " Harry started.

Draco had finally connected the dots and light tears started to fall down his cheeks.

"Draco, I want to spend every single waking moment with you. I want to wake up with you by my side and fall asleep with you by my side. Draco Lucius Malfoy, will you marry me, and become a Malfoy-Potter?" Harry asked with hope in his eyes.

"Harry James Potter, I would love nothing more than to become a Malfoy-Potter with you. Yes, I will marry you," Draco replied, now with happy tears streaming down his face.

Harry stood up, put the ring on Draco's left hand ring finger, and kissed Draco. Everyone in the pet adoption center cheered and congratulated the newly engaged couple. The boys thanked everyone for the congratulations. Harry, Draco and Stella walked out and went home.

When the boys and Stella got home, Harry and Draco invited Draco's parents, the Weasley family, Hermione, Pansy and Blaise to Draco and Harry's shared home to announce their engagement, and then show off their new puppy. When everyone arrived at Draco and Harry's house, Draco was the first to say something.

"Hello, everyone. Harry and I are glad that you could make it. Harry and I wanted to tell you something and show off our puppy, Stella."

Harry walked out of another room with Stella in his arms. Everyone cooed at the sight of Stella.

"Aww, she is adorable. Can I hold her?" Narcissa asked.

"Sure, here you go Narcissa," Harry said.

Narcissa took Stella in her arms, looked at Stella's dog tag. She did a double take and looked at the tag again, before realising the back had, 'If found, please return to Draco and Harry Malfoy-Potter.' written.

"Wait, what?" Narcissa said, confused.

"It seems like mother has found it," Draco said.

Narcissa figures out what it meant and hands Stella to Lucius and jumps onto Draco and Harry and embraces them. Lucius did the same thing as Narcissa, minus the jumping into an embrace part. Hermione, being as smart and observant as she is, looked around the room before her eyes landed on Draco's left hand ring finger. She saw a beautiful diamond engagement ring and she knew that whatever was on the tag had something to do with the ring. She shot Harry a knowing glance.

"Going by the look Hermione sent me, I am pretty sure she knows as well," Harry said.

Soon Stella was passed around to everyone, Harry stood up to speak.

"Judging by the reactions of everyone," Harry started, "some of you know what it meant and some of you are confused by what it means. So, for the people who are confused, it means that Draco and I are getting married."

Everyone cheered and congratulated them on the engagement. Narcissa Malfoy and Molly Weasley asked if they could help plan the wedding. The boys reluctantly agreed but with a compromise.

A few months later, the wedding day has arrived. The venue looked gorgeous due to Draco being a Malfoy and Molly being a protective mother figure to Harry. The Malfoy-Potter wedding was a success for everyone. Everyone had fun, especially Stella, who brought the rings down the aisle, even though she was running all over the place and wouldn't settle down enough for the rings to be taken off of her collar. It was a wild goose chase for the rings since she wouldn't stop running away from Blaise and Ron. It gave everyone a good laugh. The reception was fun for all the guests. Draco and Harry talked about adopting kids and ended up adopting four kids, three boys and one girl. Their names in order from oldest to youngest were: James Sirius, Albus Severus, Scorpius Hyperion, and Luna Lilly. Albus Severus and Scorpius Hyperion were twins. The Malfoy-Potter family lived together happily.
