Demi's POV
There was people every where, I didn't know where to look, this place was full of people just sitting along the sides of the road struggling to survive. I wanted to help everyone, my mind was racing and my heart beat was getting louder in my head after seeing some of the ones that haven't got much time left and a couple that had already lost the battle to survive.
My eyes widen as I came to this little boy and girl curled up side by side, dirt all over them, tear stains down there faces and their little brown eyes looking for someone to comfort them and tell them it will be ok in the end. I couldn't bear to walk past them, I stopped and sat next to them, they pulled back as I they have had some bad experiences with people. I reached out my hand that had a bottle of water in for them, the little girl stretched out her hand and took it carefully but as quickly to avoid contact with me, it made my heart break.
"Hi, I'm Demi. What are your names?" I asked softly to the most adorable children that sit in front of me. "M-m-my name is Olivia and m-m-my brother is c-called Oscar." The little stutters with fear as I listen intently to the fear and sadness in her voice. "Are you all alone? Do you have any parents?" I asked feeling anxious for their safety. "m-m-mummy and d-d-daddy left us, they said they didn't love us, we were the worst mistake they made." The little girl says quietly but more alert after her sip of water. I stood up sharply and strutted over to my management, I needed to speak to them immediately.
Olivia's POV
This Demi is so friendly, I would of loved my mummy and daddy to of been this caring towards me and my brother.
"m-m-mummy and d-d-daddy left us, they said they didn't love us, we were the worst mistake they made."
Demi stood up sharply and walked away, my heart sank I thought she would stick along a bit longer but obviously the truth made her realise on never to be a part of our life just like our parents. I turned to my brother and went back to our original position of clinging onto each other as it was our only hope left of survival.
Demi's POV
"Daniel, these kids need help, I need to help them! What can I do to help them?" I scream at him starting to hyperventilate. "Demi, calm down. What do you mean you need to help them?" Daniel says abruptly but calmingly to me. "These children, they are cold, they are fragile, they need my help! I-I-I need to take them home with me!" I say getting agitated now as I keep peering over my shoulder to check on Olivia and Oscar as they huddle up together once again on the pavement. "Demi, I'm not so sure of this, you don't know them, it would be wrong." He says with a very demanding tone in his voice. "You can't stop me from helping these children! The only thing wrong about this is if I was to leave them to starve on the side of the street whilst I spend the rest of my life like they haven't touched my heart!" I let out as tears start to fi my eyes, all I could think about was helping this little boy and girl and make them have a reason to love life and to have someone to love them back. All the good thoughts and my imagination was growing stronger on what we could have together, makes the debate in my head sound so much clearer... But what will I have to do to make these children part of my life?!
