I Think I'd Have A Heart Attack

Demi's POV

I turned to door as the screams bellowed through, to see Oscar's face bright red, tears streaming like Niagara Falls and the look of horror on Wilmer's face made me feel blank. I headed for the door to take Oscar out for a breather but before I had a chance to exit Wilmer started to go mad!

"Leave that useless thing alone, this is just what his mother wanted me for, to look after him, he isn't mine and never will be!" I turned shocked at what had just been expressed from Wilmer's mouth. "Wilmer, what the FUCK are you on about?" I shouted, losing my temper just like that was so unlike me.

"His mother tried to ruin my life! Thought by leaving me with those two brats I would take care of them, no I wouldn't so I left them where they belonged back in Brazil!" I clenched my fists tight as I heard this hatred, was this all true or was Wilmer just getting confused I didn't know what to believe anymore.

Before I had time to retaliate I stormed out of the room with Shannon, Olivia and Oscar in tow. "Do you know why the fuck that just happened?" I asked completely lost as to what had happened. "Demi this is what I text you about, Olivia and Oscar why don't you go play over there a minute whilst I speak to your mum." They wandered over to the corner of the waiting room where some kid's toys were to keep them entertained. "I would of told you before I got here but you clearly didn't find it important to reply to my messages, I have worked so hard today for you to try and calm YOUR children down whilst you didn't have the decency to ring or even text to tell me Wilmer had been involved in an accident I had to find out via the news!" Shannon was practically screaming at me by the time she had finished speaking, I felt horrible all she had done for me, she looked up to me this was supposed to be time for me to understand and help solve her problems but in fact I was putting my problems onto her shoulders. "I know I feel so bad Shannon, I should of informed you I was just so shocked I didn't know what to do I didn't know if he was going to wake up whether I would get to see his smile ever again!"

"Anyway I don't care about your excuses anymore back to Oscar, he told me that his 'mummy' and 'not real daddy' being Wilmer used to be an item, I don't know when but I would of thought not long ago as he is only 2. He said he used to hit him until he cried, which lead to the day he dropped them at the side of the road in Brazil to fend for themselves as he was done with them." I was staring straight through Shannon, I was having such a hard time imagining Wilmer abusing Oscar he wasn't the man I fell in love with. I didn't responding to Shannon I stormed straight past her back into Wilmer's room with tears streaming down my face.

"Wilmer is this true what Shannon has just told me?"

"I told you I want nothing to do with those children them and their mum made my life a living hell!"

"Tell me your point of view on these incidents." I tried calming myself and Wilmer down before a big argument was to take place.

"I once dated a woman named Natalia, she was kind and pretty, but that was her trap she led me to believe that is who she was and then she started using me, forcing me to do stuff in the bedroom I didn't want to do."

"Wilmer, did she-" I took a deep breath before finishing, "rape you?"

Wilmer broke into tears, he started scratching and clenching at his wrists to the point that he drew blood. "Wilmer stop you are hurting yourself!"

"Good, it isn't just you who suffers Demi; I want this misery to be gone from me!" I hugged him tightly as he sobbed onto my shoulder, I was hurt at what he just said to me but it was true and he was hurting it was obvious.

"I dated her before I met you, once she found out I was with you she kept trying to get in contact with me, I changed my number everything but nothing got in her way! It was about 6 months ago maybe a bit more that she was at a club I was at and spiked my drink, she took to back to the hotel and threatened me, she told me if I didn't do what she told me to you would be dead. I was forced into sex and the children I don't know how that happened she just kept chucking them onto me so she could go and do her 'business' until the day I flipped and hit Oscar I rung her and said she had to take them back and it turned out she was in Brazil, I couldn't find her so I left the kids on the side of a busy road in hope she would see them. I didn't mean for so much pain to be caused."

"Baby, you did this to save me?" a lump was in my throat I felt sick he had been attacked because of me.

"I had no choice you are my everything I had to keep you alive I would of never forgiven myself if she had killed you, she isn't the safest of people."

I ran to the bathroom throwing up everything I had eaten today which turned out to be very little but my gag reflexes just carried on and it felt good to get rid of the weight. I had voices in my head they were back I hadn't heard from them in over a year.

Go on purge you know you want to he was attacked because of you.

If you had just left him and not ruined his life we wouldn't be in this mess.

Tears ran down my face as I raised my hand and my fingers about to reach my mouth to purge when a hand grabbed it, I turned around to see Wilmer with bloodshot eyes and a tear stained face.

"Baby no you have come so far, this isn't the answer and you have 2 babies to think of too."

I also have two other children's lives to think of, I couldn't have them live in fear all their lives, but Wilmer is the love of my life. Surely I don't have to pick one of them... If I do who will it be?
