Looking around the house, she looked up at the grand ceiling housing chandeliers. The kitchen had a light oak wood cupboards and cabinets, with dark wood tops. Each gleaming brightly in the light of the tall window. Jess looked back at Klaus who was texting on his phone, and looked up at her as she continued walking around.
'How can you afford a place like this?!' She asked curiously.
'Well I am a millionaire?' He reply's with a grin.
'What?!' She claps a hand to her mouth.
'Well yeah, you couldn't tell?' He asks laughing at her shock. She shook her head as he laughs again.
'I'll drive you home if you like, you'll be wanted a change of clothes and a shower no doubt.' He said looking at her party outfit. Jess modded remembering the events of the previous night. Klaus grabs his keys and reached for hand and guided her into the garage.
If jess wasn't already expecting a lot, she hid it well, her mouth wide as she gazed around the cars. He held the door open for her as she stepped inside.
Pulling out into the street the New York skyline was shadowed by the slowly rising sun. Reds and purples were streaked against the sky as the drove on. Jess looked out at the looming office buildings and hotels. Pubs and casinos were full off all-night drinkers. One man caught sight of the shiny black convertible and yelled,
'Nice car, bitch!'
This seemed to go unnoticed by Klaus who was still focused on the road ahead of him. He looked over at Jess, his eyes seemed to roll over all her curves and dips, he eyes slot focused on her face, lingering slightly on her full lips.
'Klaus!' Jess' shout broke his watchful trance as a car nearly collided with the front of the car. He slammed on the break, he jerked forward but stopped before the wheel. Jess however went forward and head butted the dashboard before her seatbelt locked. Rubbing her head she looked around and saw the driver in front hanging out of his window swearing profusely at them while he drove away. Klaus looked over and noticed a fresh bruise already blooming on her head.
'God, we're a right pair, every time I see you, you end up hurt in some way!' He said with a half serious-half laughing tone.
'Maybe it's the gods telling me to run!' She said laughing at him. He pulled in front of her apartment, and she jumped out, waving him away.
'See you again soon?' He asked hopefully.
'Hmm, only if your good.' She said teasingly. He shook his head laughing at his steering wheel before rounding the corner and disappearing from view. Climbing the stairs, Jess couldn't help but grin as she remembered the helpful stranger who had brought her home. Unlocking the door, she looked around at her relatively tidy apartment. She dropped her bag on the nearest chair, locked the door then headed straight for the shower, the water seemingly washing away an unknown weight from her shoulders she hadn't realised was there until it was released. Her phone trilled with a message as she wrapped a towel around herself and climbed out.

Mia-'Hey want to meet up later?'

Jess-'yeah sure,where at?'

Mia-'My place,I can pick you up from your place and bring you over here if u want.'

Jess-'Yeah that would be cool!'

Mia-'Ok see you at 8,ok?'

Jess-'Cya then!'

She replaced her phone on the counter next to the sink and dressed into her work clothes. She shook her head as she made a desperate attempt to pull the skirt further down her legs but the outfit was skimpy enough as it was. Her boss was strict about the waitresses uniform, he always announced that their uniforms were short to keep the higher classed men happy and keep them coming back. Jess thought this was ridiculous as surely they were being exploited with the short skirts and low cut shirts. Tying her hair back she left the room and took the stairs two at a time.
                        *10 mins later*
Arriving at the restaurant she opened the doors and the smell of food assaulted her nostrils with scents of spices and spaghetti. She crossed to the break room and looked at her shift. 'Table 3, 4, 5, 7, 12, 15 and 22. Wow that's a lot, and a premium table too!' She thought to herself as she groaned into her palms. Placing her smile she headed back into the dining room and headed to her tables.
'Hey there, I'm gonna be taking care of you today, do you think you're ready to order some drinks?' She asked, this was the line they were taught to say, drinks could be replaced with food.
'I'll have a whiskey,' said the first balding man
'I'll have a vodka lemonade.' Said the second with a scruff of beard along his jaw.
She turned to leave as a hand stretched out a grabbed her thigh.
'Why don't you stay here, princess?' Said the second man, with a sickly smirk.
'Get your hand of me!' She shouted, her voice shaking with fear. His out her hand grabbed her waist as he spun her to face him.
'I don't think I will, doll!' He said smirking 'what you gonna do about it?!' He said with an air of finality. Jess slammed her fist down on his crotch and his hands slipped from her.
'Creep!' She said rushing away from the table to input their orders. Whilst typing on the keypad she heard her name called from her left.
'Jess! Get in here!' Came the managers voice. She walked in and tugged at her skirt as it rode uncomfortably higher.
'Am I correct in think you just attacked one of our most frequent customers?' He said in a falsely calm voice.
'He attacked me first, you saw it he grabbed my thigh and my waist!' She said, her temper rising at the injustice.
'That may have been the case but this is why you dress like that, to keep them happy!'
'Well if this is what I get for working here then I quit!' She said slamming her name badge on his desk and walking straight out of the place.
