The sun was beginning to set. As much as I would love to stick around to talk about my birth and spawning ritual, I need to focus on my task at hand. "Guys, sorry! I really have to go!" Before I can try to swim out of the pond, the water turns ink black. I turn around and see all the squids staring at me.

Zombie number 56, you must realize that life outside of ours is different. They have players and whatnot that could appear anywhere. They have to be...prepared. Prepared to attack and defend their species.

"I'll never understand what that means." I say to myself as I get out of the water. The moon is almost at its full peak, which means tonight is my first night of searching. I suddenly hear a noise that echoes and rumbles through the trees. It sounds like another monster, maybe another Zombie, but that isn't likely. Suddenly a black and white patterned thing appears from the tree. It comes closer to me, so I back up. It must be an over world mob, since it doesn't seem to have any interest in harming me or anybody. When I look at it, it looks back. "Do you...do you speak?" I ask it.
It doesn't respond. I sigh and continue walking away from it until I hear an arrow drop. My whole body freezes. I turn around and see the cow is gone, but an arrow it in the place where it was. Is a skeleton here? That wouldn't be likely, since I'm the only monster mob on the over world right now. I look up in the trees, but nothing is there to explain the arrow. Maybe there was one of those fabled updates that the Lord spoke about and a new mob that can shoot arrows and teleport, I don't know. I squint and swear I see something looking human through the trees, but all I can make out is a black silhouette from the light and dark of the moon and trees. It quickly runs, leaving a pixelated black trail behind. A player.

Something inside of me is telling me that the figure is not who it plays out to be, but I think my body and mind is just in shock. I finally found one. I can finally prove to the Lord that the players have returned. I continue running and keep hitting my legs on tree roots and vines lying in places, and eventually I can barely see him or her anymore. Without noticing, I trip and sever my leg on a vine. I try to pull it out of the vine tangles, but it doesn't move. I hear the figure's footsteps, so I leave my leg in the vines and hide behind a tree.

I hear another over world mob in the distance, sounding like that pink one the Lord showed us in the diagram on the pillar. I slow down my breathing and listen in, but no sound comes, only small footsteps, glitch noises and a pink mob thing making noises. Suddenly the noise of the pink thing stopped and there was just dead silence. I peeked out from behind the tree and saw the silhouette working with the pig. Some black pixels were transferred into the pig and then the figure just...left. The only thing left in the forest that night was a pink mob thing, beef and an arrow.

I peeked out from behind the tree to see if the figure had returned. It seemed to have left for the night, so I appeared from behind the tree. The pig was still in the same spot, so I went to grab my leg. I continued staring at the pig as I reached down, but all I could feel was vines. Panicking, I looked down and saw my leg was gone. Whoever the figure is, he knows I'm here, and that I come here now. If he is dangerous, I won't live to find a player, unless he is one. When I look back at the pink mob, it begins moving away from the area, slower than the black and white mob.

"Hey wait a minute!" I shout and limp to the mob.

The pink thing stops walking and still looks away from me. He doesn't look like the type to speak, but I'm not the type to judge, so I try to start a conversation.

"Did you see who was with you just now?" I ask and kneel down. "Was he a player?"

The pink mob didn't say anything, but he slowly turned around to face me. When he turned around to face me, my vision gets pixelated for a second, but then disappears.
