Struggles With Three

After raising two kids, one would assume that a person was already an expert on being a parent. He wasn't. 

The blond internally panicked as Saruhiko kept crying and he didn't know why. He already fed him, changed his diaper, and rocked him to sleep, but he was still crying. Also, that wasn't his only problem. The twins were fighting again. Apparently Kaito took Kaori's volleyball because she took one of his brushes while he was painting.

"Give it back, Kaito!" Kaori shouted.

"Give me back my brush first!" Kaito shouted back.

"Oh, come on! I only wanted to have a one on one with you!"

"Well, I don't want to play right now!"

Kei groaned. He wanted to cover his face with his hand in frustration but it was preoccupied at the moment. While the twins fought, Saruhiko's crying just got louder. 

"Alright," he said, raising his voice at the twins. "You two better make up before your mother gets home. She said she'd be home in five minutes."

The twins flinched when they heard what their father said. Their mother was all hearts and rainbows and it was scary when she tells them off because she still had a smile on her face while having an extremely scary aura.

"Here!" the twins said in unison as they exchanged the things they got from each other. 

Kaito went back up to his room while Kaori sat next to Kei with a pout as she hugged her volleyball while muttering something under her breath. As much as Kei wanted to ask her about it, he had to do something first-- stop Saruhiko from crying.

"What do you need, Saru?" he asked the baby.

"Whenever you're the one away and Saru's like that, mom always gets your cologne and sprays it on her clothes," Kaori said, still visibly upset from earlier.

"She does?"

"She says it's because Saru misses you," the girl said.

"I see."

Kei was about to do the same. He was about to walk into their room and grab something until he heard the sound of the car backing up.

"Is that mom?" Kaito asked, suddenly appearing from his room.

Kaori did a loud huff towards her twin when he asked his question. Kaito glared in return to her. Kei was fighting the urge to roll his eyes at the two.

'They're still children. They're like that. Don't get annoyed.'

Kei headed towards the door and opened it to see if it was indeed [Name]. He smiled at her when he saw her get out of her car.

"I'm home," she said once she got inside. She kissed Kei on the cheek and removed her shoes. She petted Cookie who ran towards her once she saw the [h/c]-haired woman walk in.

[Name] then got Saruhiko from Kei's arms and rocked him in her arms. The baby started to calm down, proving that he really did just miss his mom.
